Somehow I got a vin. I'm a day 2 res, 4 dr, MIC, sas, OBX with lux and tow package. Didn't they say that they weren't going to schedule anymore non first editions with hardtops for 2021? This is very welcome news. Scheduled for Dec. 6th.
good luck with the after market engine upgrades whilst maintaining a Ford warranty. The only people really getting screwed are the First Edition suckers who are paying the same base msrp (pre dealer markup) for a 2.7 with no tune.
I was very worried they were going to do the flared body panels like the f150 raptor since that’s what the spy shots appeared to show and it looked like shit. There is such thing as ass too big
I certainly hope not. I don’t like that look at all. I think people are overlooking the camouflage. Here’s a spy shot of the bronco in camp from January 2020. You could have come to the same conclusion that it would have flared quarter panels and you would have been wrong.
I’m a 7/14 res with a 4 door OBX with most every possible constrained option. I have a copy of my submitted order from my dealer and was able to go to the bronco off roadeo last month. I fully understand that I won’t be bringing a bronco home until next year. However this afternoon I logged into...
When you blow gaskets in a 1 year old super duty with 65k miles, your local Ford dealer will work with you on price if you bought from them. Want a loaner? Those are at the expense of the dealer. Don’t expect one if you didn’t buy from them. We buy all of our vehicles from the dealer and have...
This is what the bulk order groups are missing out on. If you are buying from some dealer thousands of miles a way you better hope you never have any major issues. You will get treated like a second class citizen at your local Ford dealer if you did not buy your vehicle from them.
I live in the memorial area near Mac Haik and spotted what looks like a Wildtrak with a soft top (mannequin I’m guessing) during my lunch break today.
Anybody know of any customer orders showing up in the area yet?
The easy answer is yes, the new roofs in 2023 should be compatible with 21-22 model years. The mod roof has already been designed, proof of concepts have been built, and tooling is already made. We also know that Ford says MIC tops will be available for purchase in 2023. They wouldn’t sell...
I’d give October 30th as a deadline and be grateful for any communication before. I’ve learned to have low expectations because the Bronco team is going to underdeliver.
OP said you couldn’t feel the honeycomb, meaning the surface is still flat. I’m pretty sure if that was the inner layers, you’d be able to feel an indentation between each comb. It’s also interesting that it’s not the whole panel. Maybe only a spot where he was a little too heavy with the wax...
It’s been discussed that Ford has already sent salaried staff, engineers, and idled production workers to Plymouth to work out Webasto’s issues. That’s pretty close to assuming control. We’ve also heard that they are in discussions with other suppliers about opening another plant for hard tops...
I didn’t say the roof was perfect. I just pointed out that your call out of a “bad line” was the intentional indentation for the roof rack. The roof isn’t perfect for sure. But OP’s wax job probably caused the honeycomb, and I wouldn’t notice the panel edge finish issue if I wasn’t looking for...
If your dealer has enough allocations, you’re getting built this year. Congrats. I’ll be here with my 7/14 res waiting on my 4 door sas obx with 2.7, MIC, lux, and tow until 2024
