  1. Can’t decide…

Like you my OBX will be driven primarily on pavement and I was looking to avoid E rated tires. I have KO2s on my wrangler and while the tread life has been amazing (around 36k miles and look like new) I noticed the change in ride immediately back when I bought them. After following the many...
  2. Living with 2-doors

I can confirm it’s the K platform from Yakima that fits - 55x49. I have it on my 2dr.
  3. Wrangler fell in my lap.

I have a 23 year son that graduated last May who now drives my Wrangler after I got my Bronco and a 19 year old son who is pre-med in college. I can tell you that both of them would pick waiting for a Bronco over the Jeep. Congrats to your Son!
  4. Tire recommendations

I went with the Falken Wildpeaks on my OBX - 275/65/18 SL rated. I like the looks and I feel and hear no difference in the ride compared to the original tires. My local dealer gave me a good price so I used my FordPass points for them. I have KO2s on my Wrangler that my son now drives and...
  5. $4,838 ADM unreasonable on a Wildtrack Hardtop?

I drove myself crazy looking for a 2 door with no ADM and/or below a certain amount I had set in my head last year and at the end of the day I spent over the amount I set for myself and some ADM (and I couldn't be happier with my decision). $4800 seems like a small amount compared to all the...
  6. 33” tires on Outer Banks, anyone?

Pic of my OBX with the 275/65/18 Wildpeaks. Local dealer gave me a good price on these so I used my FordPass points towards them.
  7. Outer Banks Aftermarket Bigger Tires

I have been following along with the various OBX tire threads with the plan of getting bigger tires since I joined in Dec and finally pulled the trigger last week. My points finally made it into my FordPass app so I put those towards 275/65/18 Falken Wildpeaks because they come in both an E...
  8. 33” tires on Outer Banks, anyone?

Thanks - I ended up getting the 275/65/18 Falken Wildpeaks. because I was looking for a 275 option that was not E rated. I saw 32. something earlier today when I was looking them up (not 31.6). They are basically the same height at the stock tires. I did it at my local dealer and they were...
  9. Happy medium? 275/70/r18 on OBX

Another change to 275 tires on an OBX - I went with 275/65/18 Falken Wildpeaks to avoid E rated tires. These are SL and the ride is great.
  10. How are you guys storing your hard tops?

Your Bronco looks great! How was the Bestop install?
  11. Hard vs soft top

I have the two door hard top and I plan to purchase a Bestop soft top in April and then run my Bronco the same way we do with our Wrangler here in NY - April-Nov with the soft top and Nov-Mar with the hard top. I don't know how sticking with the Hard Top affects your order and wait time but...
  12. Extended warranty

Everyone is going to have a different opinion on going with an extended warranty and some will think it's a waste. I did not purchase the extended warranty through Ford at purchase but I'm leaning towards doing that before the factory warranty is up. I have two extended warranties on used cars...
  13. Yakima EXO System on a Sasquatch Badlands

How do the skis fit in the top shelf - do they extend out past the bronco on either side?
  14. New York WTS OBX OEM Tires

I have my OBX in to have my tires changed today. Selling 4 OBX tires in Westchester County NY. Best offer, not looking to ship - pick-up or we can arrange to meet. Forgot to take pics - will post later today when I pick up my Bronco.
  15. OEM Crossbars Enough or Additional Required?

I’m not sure of the dynamic load limit. I had the roof box full of our bags and our skis and poles attached via the recovery board mounts (and extra straps) next to it for that trip. That trip was the first ski trip for our family of 4 in the 2dr and I was searching for ways to get everything...
  16. OEM Crossbars Enough or Additional Required?

I have the Yakima roof platform connected with the mounts as shown in a previous post. Pics below of day to day set-up and then loaded up for a ski trip last month. I’ve had the roof box pictured for many years. I’m using the Yakima platform but I wouldn’t have had any issues putting it...
  17. Massachusetts WTB OBX 32" (Non SQ) or BL 33" (Non SQ) Wheel and Tire set-RIMS/TIRES/TPMS

I am changing tires Monday and will have my original OBX tires avail. I’m in NY.
  18. Outerbanks wheels powder coated glossy black!

Those look great! I was think of doing the same on my OBX wheels but my dealer game me a great price on 275 Falken Wildpeaks (compared to typical dealer pricing) so I’m using my Ford points towards those first on Monday and will deal with the wheels later.
  19. Where’s my 200k FordPass points

Call the finance person at the dealer. I had been waiting for my 42k points since the end of Dec. Finally gave up texting my sales guy and called the finance office Tues and the points showed up in the app the next day.
  20. What a Noob Needs - A Checklist

There is a basic tool set that comes with the Bronco with some of the tools and standard torx bits you'll need but you'll definitely need Torx+ bits based on our experience here as discussed on other threads. You'll also likely need much more so maybe wait to see what's in that and then add as...
