Needs to be mounted to actual bodywork, IMO. Something anchored to the rear floor would likely be the better option.

Indeed. Better advice would be to let the engine 'rest' for about 30 seconds before shutting it off if you've been running it hard or it's particularly hot out, to cycle cooler oil into the turbo and prevent coking.
