Not silly, but yes I did hard-wire the front and rear speakers which is why I got those Posi Connectors. If you are more comfortable Soldering then that is great too. Or you might also use the solder and shrink butt connectors that you can use with a heat gun. I chose the route that required...
I would have not thought to get them, but I learned from reading others' experiences on the forum that there are bass blockers built into all the factory 4" speakers. It makes sense as there is no reason to have the lower frequency distort the clarity on the smaller speaker when you have a...
I got all my stuff from Crutchfield. I think the baffles act more like a vibration deading device to help keep the rattles at bay. Also acts as an extra layer of protection from moisture and other dirt that might creep in from the back panels.
It sounds one-thousand times better than stock.
I have always found that the speaker baffles make a big difference in the sound. I found this out in my previous Jeep install after having the rollbar speaker next to my head. At first, I had only the speaker mounted then after hearing the...
I finished upgrading the speakers in my Big Bend this past weekend and wanted to give those interested some information that may help--
My Big Bend came equipped with the standard 6-Speaker system and I simply wanted to upgrade the speakers to give the stereo a little better sound. I...
Just wanted to get a quick update from you regarding the kick panel speakers. Were you successful in getting those installed with the Metra harness and bracket?
I installed my 4" speakers (Kicker CS Series) this weekend and sound amazing. I attempted to install the kick panel speakers (also...
Just came on to report that I have a Big Bend Bronco (2.3) and it has been sitting at the dealer waiting for a vacuum tube for the brake booster for almost 2 weeks and with less than 150 miles driven. Their tech reported that I was the third Bronco he had seen with a similar issue. It gave my...
I was also looking at the Nexar cameras as they look small enough to tuck in that area as well. I am going to do some measuring this weekend so hopefully, I can make a decision about which to get at that time.
I like this cam too but I am not sure itnwill have a lot or room behind the mirror there is a huge telemetry box thing behind there taking up a ton of room. when I get back in mineni will have to measure out that space.
Here is my rig Big Bend 2.3 manual trans in Carb Gray. Added 35in KO2s on RTR Tech6 18in wheels, 2in Rough Country lift and Ford Accesories side steps. Named him Bullseye. Now just waiting on new Bronco Script badges to replace the fridge magnets and a Rough Country third brake light extender...
Someone has already mentioned here the RTR TECH6. My Carb gray Big Bend is waiting for some now. My dealer told me the matte black is currently on backorder more than 4 months. He did secure some 18s which are from the RTR Ranger line which will still work with some Toyo Open Country tires and...
I am looking at similar setup as well with some Kicker 4s and 6.5s and the powered sub under seat like the hideaway or the Kenwood version. I looked at the option for the JBL Bass Pro like some others have done but worry about a rechargeable battery sitting in the truck cooking in the Florida...
@Palerider I got this from the Florida Broncos group today. So at least this is fairly good news.-- Tamiami Ford does not charge any true “mark up.” Instead, they only charge 1000 over sticker to those who ordered, and that gets you a full Xzilon protective film! It truly is worth it, and for...
@Palerider Haven’t gotten to that point yet. I am a little concerned about how much they are going to add on. I haven’t haggled with a dealership in years. They really only processed the order from the Ford site. They never even called me about it which I thought was needed to finalize it. I...
