  1. Fog lights for mod bumper using factory switch?

Did your original bumper have the Parking Sensors in it? If not, You don't have the complete wiring harness to use the factory fog switch. It can be added. There are dozens of threads on the subject.
  2. F150LEDs - Automatic Engine Bay LED Kit

See the earlier pic of the fuse holder. It is a #10 gauge fuse holder with a 5 amp fuse. That fuse then connects to the supplied LED light harness. I hope that helps!
  3. F150LEDs - Automatic Engine Bay LED Kit

Unfortunately, Most stuff designed for negative ground has the negative power lead bonded to the chassis by design. That is the reason there can be issues. Only stuff intended to be used in both + and - ground vehicles is isolated. A lot of the older Motorola and GE's were designed to be used...
  4. F150LEDs - Automatic Engine Bay LED Kit

I never said fusing the negative lead wasn't controversial! I am not trying to be argumentative. I am saying there are good, logical debate points that can be made on both sides of this issue. Is it critical to fuse the negative, normally NO. Is it ever recommended by any manufacturer to fuse...
  5. F150LEDs - Automatic Engine Bay LED Kit

Since you said basically said to trust no manufacturer that fuses the ground, that got me to thinking outside of the Bronco box... That would include Icom, Yaesu, Kenwood, Standard, Vertex, HyTerra, Motorola, GE, etc.etc... That would also include most high power audio amp...
  6. F150LEDs - Automatic Engine Bay LED Kit

I used shrink wrap around the switch to capture the wires. Then I used 3M double sided tape to secure the assembly to the hinge at the correct angle. I put a firewall grommet that I had on hand over the wiring to slide down over the switch to cover it when in place. I pulled the grommet back...
  7. Problem installing Fitcamx Dash Camera

I ordered mine directly from the manufacturer. They wanted a photo of the plug from the rear of the mirror before they would ship.
  8. F150LEDs - Automatic Engine Bay LED Kit

If my company had 1000's of those in the field and I was still selling them, knowing it was a hazardous design, I couldn't sleep at night! Shame on them!! It would be wise to keep their liability insurance paid up. I wonder if there have been any unexplained fires on those 1000's of Rangers??
  9. F150LEDs - Automatic Engine Bay LED Kit

@CalvinT , I know you will agree with me when you think about wiring something that is chassis grounded, as well as grounded directly to the negative battery post, like a proper 2-way install. I would want a fuse on both the positive AND the negative leads, IF they are both going directly to...
  10. F150LEDs - Automatic Engine Bay LED Kit

@redone17, I remember now... I was in total disbelief that someone had engineered this accessory with the positive going un-fused, straight to the battery, and with the negative (ground) lead having the only fuse. Not to mention the IP30 rated switch they expected us to use on this fire hazard...
  11. F150LEDs - Automatic Engine Bay LED Kit

It is the red wire going directly from the battery terminal stud to a heavy fuse holder with a 5 amp fuse. I took the wire loom off for clarity. Refresh my memory... did the light kit have the ground side fused or was it the positive side? Seems like i was shocked to see the manufacturers fuse...
  12. F150LEDs - Automatic Engine Bay LED Kit

I don't think that is a momentary switch.
  13. F150LEDs - Automatic Engine Bay LED Kit

The light strips and the braided harness are great! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ADDITION! My problem was the quality of the switch and the wire gauge they provided going from the battery to the harness fuse. The switch was not sealed in any way and the contacts were visible and looked to be made out of a...
  14. Anyone know how to remove the carpeted floor panel in the trunk area?

Thanks @Beach_Bum! That was exactly what I needed! I got it all pulled out and washed.
  15. Anyone know how to remove the carpeted floor panel in the trunk area?

I spilled some weed killer on the carpeted floor of my trunk and I would like to remove the entire floor panel/carpet and wash it. Does anyone know how this is attached and how to remove it? It's a '24 Wildtrak. Thanks in Advance!
  16. Trailer detected/ brake fault

And I would want to see that corroded Tow Module.
  17. Trailer detected/ brake fault

Your tow module was corroded? Are those not inside the vehicle? One in the driver's side cargo area and one behind the passenger dash (usually). I wonder how it got corroded? anyway, the wiring probably is compromised in some way. Check the connectors where the corroded module was found.
  18. Pulled for inspection

Myth or not? I heard that upper management can pull one of their choosing out of the finished pile and drive it home and back. Then they have to fill out a standardized report on that specific VIN. That could explain the 50-80 miles on some of them when they arrive on the lot. I also heard...
  19. FORScan Bronco Working Spreadsheet (double honk, sport mode, chimes, seatbelts, and more!)

OK, Here is the 901st post to this thread... When my fog lights are turned off at the headlight switch, they still want to operate in cornering mode. I have changed all of the settings mentioning "Fog Only" and I am still in cornering mode. I was curious if @Wyld2dr has noticed his doing...
  20. Does Ford offer referrals?

My dealer does. Sent my bud a $100.00 check as soon as the ink was dry on my deal.
