  1. Why can't Ford scheduling be more like Porsche?

I don't agree with that argument. The Porsche Taycan was ground up - way ground up. It was their first electric vehicle yet their ordering system/process is identical to my GT3 order. Everyone knew when they were getting their car the minute their order was placed in the system.
  2. Why can't Ford scheduling be more like Porsche?

But Porsche does the same thing with their big sellers too.....Macan, Taycan etc. I don't understand why Ford is so dysfunctional with a simple schedule. I'm not asking for leather vent slats or for them to change the color of the stitching. The 992 GT3 lists for $161k. The average options...
  3. Why can't Ford scheduling be more like Porsche?

There is no comparison. I'm guessing less than 100 for the Bronco? Thousands for a Porsche. They are much more complicated to build because they are all individually built. Below is a pic of "some" of the thread colors you can select for your leather dash (that you can also select....or not)
  4. Why can't Ford scheduling be more like Porsche?

    That's a fair point. But my Bronco isn't cheap either....north of $60k.
  5. Why can't Ford scheduling be more like Porsche?

....and this is part of the point. Every GT3 is custom built (almost all by customers and not dealers). They don't make enough to stock GT3s - everyone is sold before they are even built. There are thousands if not millions of permutations on configurations. Literally, you can pick the...
  6. Why can't Ford scheduling be more like Porsche?

GT3RS, 718/981 Spyder and GT4 have thee cloth door pulls to save a couple of ounces of weight. GT3 has the regular door pulls. It's a gimmick anyway and saves no lap time.
  7. Why can't Ford scheduling be more like Porsche?

I understand your point but I'm actually not complaining. I'm trying to understand how a major US car manufacturer can't do something simple. Frankly, if customers expect this type of service, they are going to continue to get it. I'm sure Ford can learn from other car manufacturers and get...
  8. Why can't Ford scheduling be more like Porsche?

I would LOVE to have a Ford GT. Frankly, I'd rather have that car than a GT3. Much more money though ($500k?) and extremely hard to get anyway.
  9. Why can't Ford scheduling be more like Porsche?

So what. The Taycan was a brand new launch and the exact same thing happens. You will get your delivery estimate almost instantaneously. I know how Porsche is able to do this - they have allocations given out to each dealership that have a production slot already. So when the dealership...
  10. Why can't Ford scheduling be more like Porsche?

True. They will only make between 1500 and 3000 GT3s. But the EXACT same result occurs if you order a Macan, Taycan or Cayenne. They never made a Taycan before but the exact same process occurs. It can't be that hard.
  11. Why can't Ford scheduling be more like Porsche?

I think this makes it easier for Ford. They have more money/resources to get their scheduling right. They also have more capacity and flexibility than a smaller manufacturer such as Porsche. And 250k cars is no small number. I can't be the only one frustrated by this whole Bronco...
  12. Why can't Ford scheduling be more like Porsche?

Last week I placed an order for a 2022 Porsche GT3. I was on a waiting list with money down for 2 years (just based on the rumor of it being built). Once the car was announced, released and able to be ordered, I placed my order and within 1 hour, I had scheduled dates for build, delivery to...
  13. First Week of Non-First Edition Bronco Previews – A Sample of What’s Getting Previewed

Holy crap. I'm guessing my Wildtrak, with Lux, 2.7, Squatch, Leather, Tow Package, and priority code 99 is not being scheduled this week.......
  14. Daily driver??

I have four cars and I like to drive all of them so it is hard to call any of them daily drivers.......lol
  15. Louisiana Painted fender flares wanted

I have an inbound 21 Wildtrak and live in Kenner. It's cyber Orange though.....not giving it up! lol.
  16. 7/14 6:45 Am time stamp. Told Yesterday I am bumped to 2022

That sucks OP. Really. I have a time stamp of July 22nd, have 5 of the deadly sins and priority code 99. I was hoping for a 21. LMAO. ....now everybody just stop laughing!
  17. Bronco Order Scheduling Starts Now!

I just wanted to thank you for participating in this forum and providing good information to the rest of us. I'm on multiple car forums and most dealerships are given a bad rap, vilified and disparaged to the point where they just stop participating. I'm really happy that you are building a...
  18. Out of touch or is it me?

No way. I wont pay $5k ADM either. It's not the money, its the principle.
  19. Out of touch or is it me?

OP: I wouldn't say you are out of touch but there are a LOT of people with serious money out there. A lot of people. $80k is nothing. I've been on a waiting list for a $200k car for two years with money down at three different dealerships. I wasn't given any of the first years round of...
  20. Is this financially irresponsible?

In my view (and I am going to be in the extreme minority), if you have your house, retirement, and kid's college paid for and you are writing a check for your Bronco, you are not being irresponsible with money. Anything else, you are..... Just saying.
