you need the adapter that has the ability to switch speeds. The rest of the modules need to run HS. I have to start in MS mode then after it reads the PCM it requires you to switch the manual switch on the cable to HS so it can read the rest of the modules.

nah. It literally takes 10 seconds to enable sport mode in the ABS module (not as-built). Its a drop down to enable and save/write. Done. I also disabled ECO mode as well in the same spot.

The dolly idea is good depending on the failure. The last one I had was a snapped axle and before that was a twisted DS. Neither would allow for a dolly tow. But if it were a motor or something that didnt effect the driveline, then that might work.
