There’s a lot of magnetic interference near this wire though I can’t see where it goes. Could it be one of those dealer installed trackers? Interested to see if anyone else has this connection.

Confused now. So if you convert to a Badlands but keep all of those constrained items, do you get built? Or you do have to convert to a Badlands AND remove all of those constrained items?

I think you overestimate the effect the MIC problems have on Ford. The only reason their initial recall even happened was because some bean counter somewhere decided there were few enough in circulation that it would save 20 cents to replace them than the costs of doing it later / class action /...

As far as I can tell, Ford used different engineering part numbers for MIC 1’s that they rehabbed and real MIC 2’s.

There’s base Sync version but also appear to be add on patches, as they’re all enumerated separately on the info screen. I am guessing they are two different things. But as long as she gets them all I don’t care. 😁

Can anyone confirm that since the update, the built-in nav will NOT remember a 2D orientation? Once the car shuts off for 2m, it seems to default back to 3D no matter what I do.

Does Ford have any warranty on parts? Like if I purchased hard top parts through a dealer, would they warranty it then?

I know it was a typo, but "85% of orders getting a hard time" sounds about perfect.

Your best bet is to buy one from another Bronco owner or to call a salvage / parts dealer, they can look in the network to tell you who's got an assembled soft top... but you're still probably going to need to buy the brackets and the window fittings.

Curious if Ford would approve a replacement on a factory hard top if purchased privately (eg put on a truck with a vin that was sold as a soft top).

There are two brackets on the side that you may need, where the soft top latches near the rear row of seats. I’ve also read reports of the two side channels (where the windows push in just behind the rear row of seats) are missing on vehicles sold as hard tops. my wife’s Bronco came as a soft...

Wife reset her Sync the other day and isn’t planning on turning FordPass back on. Curious if anyone knows authoritatively if you can receive software updates without FordPass. The settings are still lit up so I’m thinking yes but not positive.
