  1. All these displays of a couple Broncos at dealerships

Why market something that is already sold out?
  2. All these displays of a couple Broncos at dealerships

Yeah, that was a rhetorical question.
  3. All these displays of a couple Broncos at dealerships

No. I made my reservation day one, then after converting my order in the spring, joined this forum to see if I could get any intel on when the fuck I might get this vehicle and as a way to occupy my Bronco thoughts until such time as it is delivered. Because my dealer doesn’t know anything at...
  4. All these displays of a couple Broncos at dealerships

The extra piss in the face will be when Ford opens up build-and-price for MY22 before delivering MY21.
  5. All these displays of a couple Broncos at dealerships

How could I be so silly to think that the company, Ford, making the Broncos and showing them at Ford lots and paying salaries and costs of the people who take them there is the same Ford that will be making my Bronco. I now know that’s not how it works. Even though that’s how it works at every...
  6. All these displays of a couple Broncos at dealerships

No, Einstein, they aren’t the same departments, but they are all Ford resources and all paid from the same revenue. Every dollar spent on these tease trips is a dollar that could be spent on production. So you noted they JUST started production a year late, but ask why the complaints?
  7. All these displays of a couple Broncos at dealerships

Me within 30 minutes of seeing announcement on 7/13/2021 that my favorite SUV ever was back after 25 years: “Here is my $100 and I want THIS one.”
  8. All these displays of a couple Broncos at dealerships

Every other car with a model year designated is out in the fall of the previous year. That’s how the 12-month span you referenced runs. What is the relevance of Sport being made at another location? Are they not both Ford facilities? Are there not leaders in management who can make sure both...
  9. All these displays of a couple Broncos at dealerships

Are these just to spur MY22 orders, I assume? Because as a guy who ordered a MY21, this whole “Hey, we made these fancy rigs but we don’t have time yet to make your Base. Just want to make sure you get a look at this thing you’ve waited a year for and can’t have until a date we don’t even know...
  10. A note to the 4-door brigade: We get it already!!!!!

    2-door = Billy Gibbons 4-door = Joe Bonamassa Sport = John Mayer
  11. A note to the 4-door brigade: We get it already!!!!!

Great question. As many have noted, the 4-door is versatile. The 4-door Sasquatch is a set of ropers paired with jeans with tons of embroidery on the back pockets and probably a cross in there somewhere. Plus an “Easter egg” when you unzip the fly and see a photo of Jon Rich.
  12. Bronco v. Bronco sport

THAT is a beauty. Identical to mine, except the roof rails. That was going to be my only option added, until I learned it has to be removed to take the top off.
  13. A note to the 4-door brigade: We get it already!!!!!

Th 2-door is a proper pair of cowboy boots with a western riding heel. The 4-door is a pair of ropers for the meek newcomer buying his first pair of “cowboy boots” but lacks the confidence to show up at the country club in a man’s boot out of fear he will “stand out.” The Bronco Sport is a pair...
  14. Bronco v. Bronco sport

Meanwhile, a guy I know who has never had a Bronco told me the new Bronco isn’t a “real Bronco” without a V-8.
  15. Where are you from? What are you going to do with your Bronco?

I’m another of those people. But mine will be a daily driver.
  16. In your mind, Bronco compares to what?

Every vehicle I’ve had since 1995 has had four doors except a Jeep Wrangler 2-door. Now that my kids are 11 and 13 and have long been fully ambulatory and not in child seats, I cannot WAIT to return to a 2-door. I, too, thought for a long time I’d never want to go back to a four-door. Until...
  17. In your mind, Bronco compares to what?

Maybe it’s 4-door folks looking down their noses at those of us who will use a 2-door as our daily/only driver, not a “toy.” Or who can make do (and prefer) a Bronco that doesn’t cost $50k. I am laughing at the notion that someone paying $50k for a vehicle thinks someone buying a 2-door Base...
  18. In your mind, Bronco compares to what?

Ah, yes. The Explorer. Or the 4-door Bronco II as it really was.
  19. In your mind, Bronco compares to what?

Unless your kids are infants or toddlers, a 2-door is plenty truck. I’m married with two kids. Not sure how a less-expensive vehicle is “luxury money” over the higher-priced 4-door, but I suck at math. I grew up hunting and and daily driving/riding 2-door SUVs until 4-doors became the norm in...
  20. Cactus Gray Black Diamond and Black Outer Banks at Ken Grody Carlsbad Bronco Event

I guess I’ll be an optimist and conclude that the only reason all these dealer exhibitions feature only fancy-trim 4-door Broncos is because they have a special, dedicated team working around the clock to get my 2-door base delivered early.
