Finally got around to doing the install. It has been sitting at the shop since July. Two children (3 months and 2.5 years) does not leave a lot of free time for daddy projects.....

Finally got around to removing the less than awesome plastic factory rear bumper and replacing it with the ARB Zenith Steel Bumper. I looked at countless bumpers, but ultimately decided on this one due to build quality, materials and in particularly how the tow hooks mount up to the bracket...
Looks fine, except the trail sites, that is a nope for me.... To each their own, but it is now less trail worthy.... Might as well airbags to it so it has less squat when towing......
You can't have the rack and other accessories with the 'full' skid plates on the Wildtrak (puts you over GVWR). The factory plates are pretty light duty and only cover a few applications. The factory set does not include gas tank plates. With Hoss 3.0 you get he front plate and transfer plate...
The plastic sleeve insert keeps the rack from over extending and breaking the housing in simple terms. I believe they sell an improved housing as well. The rack and pinion gearing may also be a little light or weak in terms of design and or materials which also causes or will cause problems in...
It is the heavy duty steering rack off the bronco raptor. If you make the tie rods stouter or beefed up to take on more impact without failure the rack is the next in line to receive that energy/force. Newton's 3rd law..... Specifically, I believe the housing an internals are bigger and...
SECOND EDIT: Now I see, the front dropout has to come completely off the vehicle...UUUGH!
Yep, that is what I tell everyone looking at this as a DIY upgrade..... changing the tie rods, easy; upgrading to fox 2.5s harder, but not too bad if you are comfortable with compressing springs; but the...
I am sure they will be available to order soon. Keep in mind that stronger or reinforced tie rods will put more force on the steering rack. Newton's third law.....
Have had my HOSS3.0 equipped WT 4 door for about a month. It was definitely a pretty harsh ride at first, with tire skipping driving it home from the dealer. Tire were inflated to 49-50psi. Have since dropped them down to something reasonable and it is a much better ride. Is it leaps and bounds...
The HD steering rack will be the most complicated part, other than that you should be able to swap over the Fox2.5 and performance tie rods just like any other tie rod and shock/coil swap.
The main thing is you get the fog light button on the light cluster inside with the capable bumper. Also, if you plan to change/upgrade to an aftermarket front bumper than it is really not worth throwing the modular bumper on the order. If you like the modular bumper then you might as well get...
That is a build and price change that happened after they closed the order banks. It looks like the 23 MY HOSS 3.0 will likely get the steel rear bumper in addition to the front. The 22.5 HOSS 3.0s get the plastic rear bumper. So we will see come august, and I am sure there will be many upset...
Nope. For people with reservations, the reservation timestamp is the date that matters. The original order date for reservationist only matters for price protection purposes. Ford has established cut off dates along the way in 2021 and 2022 for certain elements of the price protection plan...
My HOSS 3.0 build..... In transit somewhere south of Illinois. Settled on Race Red after a few other colors in previous orders. Dropped the cheap factory skid plates for the rack (not installed yet). Have aftermarket plates in the shop. Kept the capable bumper to get the fog light button on the...
Rubbish. The majority that were offered to people were wildtrak orders as these are the largest holdouts from 21 that couldn't be built, also many holdouts that have been 99'd all along waiting on the modular hard top.
That is apparently what will happen. You have the smartvincent/dealer connection certificates that cover stuff MY21-22 changes in cost for those with price protection. The 2022.5 changes will be a little different. However, it does put the customer right back to making sure all the numbers add...
Well I agree, the trim only selection on some items is silly. From the beginning, in my opinion there should been 2 broncos (Sas and non-Sas). Now 3, add the raptor. But for standard broncos at the non-sas level you can have basic packages to retro/heritage packages and different creature...
