I was wondering about the breathers as well, I have them plumed up high on my Tacoma. I always wondered why the water fording depth excludes diff breathers? SO I didn't hydrolock my motor which is cool but I also don't want my differentials failing!
I would not use a dealer for mods like this IMO
@WhatsKraken Off roaders yes, its very rare for people to not be nice and helpful. The trails are 95% Jeeps and Toyotas and there is often some good natured ribbing between the two groups. I commonly leave expensive gear at my camp without a worry or problems. In the fall elk hunters vary but...
I have an 06 Tacoma, started off overlanding/camping and have got more into off roading. The Tacoma is crazy long on these trails, my Jeeps friends have been bugging me to get a Jeep but its never been my thing. When the Bronco was announced I decided to jump on that. I mostly off road at...
I have a Smittybilt Scout I have been pulling with my 06 Tacoma that I will be replacing with the Bronco. The trailer is 1500lbs dry and about 3000 loaded. It will go down any road my truck will and tows nicely. It's not perfect but I picked it up for $4,500 without wheels and tires, for that...
West Seattle, or as I like to call it now East Vashon. West Seattle per capita is Bronco crazy! I have a 4 door Badlands on order, currently with Ford of Kirkland, but as we get down to the details I will active talk to several dealers.
Yeah, width is my concern too, I talked to some of my Jeep friends and they are about 83" on 37s and 85" on 40s and they think 80" will be great. While my Tacoma isn't as wide their point was the tires are completely inside the body work where as on the Jeep or bronco stick out quite a bit. With...
I'm looking forward to doors and roof off wheeling. Here in the PNW July, August and September are the tree best things about the area!. The Jeep peeps I wheel with typically have doors and roof off, the hardcore ones don't even bring them but most leave them at camp. Riding in rigs with the...
I am going to wrap my Bronco to protect it wheeling. Wrapping all of the areas exposed when the top and doors are off looks tough so I am thinking of White or Silver so it doesn't look bad if some of it is exposed. The trails in the PNW are tight, I wish I had done that with my Tacoma before I...
Yeah, OEM parts use Electrophoretic deposition coating instead of powder coating, because it provides better corrosion protection and cheaper (at volume). Aftermarket uses powder coating because it is widely available and cheaper in low volumes, but it always chips and cracks and it cannot get...
I asked Esteban about the winch blocking the camera, he said they were aware of the issue and it would be corrected on production models. He wasn't able and/or willing to share how, indicated that it would be mounted differently.
Width is my concern too, here in the Pacific Northwest the trails are tight. It looks like the tires stick out enough that by removing fenders and with some better rock sliders we can ignore the body width and just look at the width across the outside of the tires.
The Sasquatch models have a...
My reservation is with Ford of Kirkland, they have been responsive and said they will not add ADM. When I confirm my order I want to have terms and costs established and make sure there is no required financing, accessories, etc. I certainly don't want to wait till my truck shows up to do that...
