I'm probably not the best/most experienced person to answer this, but I don't think the items you picked would be best for a stock system without an amp.
You probably want to pick speakers with a higher sensitivity rating (like Hertz DCX 100.3) if you're not adding an amp.
You also won't get...
Just picked up a black one from Dicks Sporting Goods. Color matches well (looks better in person) and it still has a lot of space underneath the car seat to put drinks in it.
Thank you for sharing all of the info/links @soupcansam!
Btw, for anyone wondering/following, I just took a 3 hour road trip in the Bronco and there is definitely an improvement, and this time I know it's not just in my head because my wife noticed it too.
I was able to drive ~85-90mph before...
No problem! The OCD in me wants to make all the weatherstripping match, but at the same time it works pretty well and I'm lazy.
I just tested it out again and 93058K556 seems to actually create a solid seal all around the door, whereas 93085K393 is definitely lacking towards the bottom/front of...
Do you have audio settings set to stereo or surround? It's it's surround, the center speaker is more noticeable so it's be worth swapping. If it's stereo, you might be able to get away without changing it out.
Went out for a drive with weatherstripping on all 4 doors and it definitely feels like there's better sound insulation from things around the Bronco. Hopefully it's not all in my head, but I feel like there's no way it didn't help. Thankfully the doors all close fine as well.
I summarized what...
You could probably screw something into that plug and use that to twist it off.
Also if you park your Bronco on a steep enough slope you won't have to worry about any coolant gushing out when you open it 😉
Installed weatherstripping on the body channels like @Easy-v, but I also tucked it under the rubber flaps/panels so that it blends in a little better. Going to finish the rest of the doors and take it on another ride later
It doesn't seem to make the door closing any worse like this either...
I only installed this on my driver's door so far and it didn't seem to make closing the door any more difficult. I have the same issue as you with my passenger door though so I'll let you know if it makes things worse when I install some there
Here's a thread on the passenger door issue...
Road/roof noise is very common. Take one out on a drive at 80mph and see what you think about it.
With that said, I love my Bronco. It's very common for forums to mainly contain complaints/issues, but 99% of us still love our rides.
It's all about what you're expecting the Bronco to be like
Yeah, what Beach_Bum said is right. The I Line stuff aren't their products and you can usually find it cheaper elsewhere (Amazon/eBay) under a different brand or no brand at all.
It's up to you if it's worth paying extra to buy it from their website to get the US based support
Update (for @adamruiz2001)
Went on a quick drive (just streets no freeway) and it feels like I wasn't hearing the cars beside me as much as I usually do, especially the ones passing on the other side of the road. I might try ordering more and finishing up the rest of the doors as I only have it...
That's probably a better way to go, plus I heard it gives a pretty satisfying thump when you close the door. I was just trying to avoid removing any trim pieces/panels for as long as possible.
Knew I'd get shit for that, I was just so excited about how clean looked that I couldn't wait to share 😂
