@smiths65 had the issue and fixed it with weather stripping so it seams strait forward to solve. If I had not removed the rear load floor in the right conditions I would not have know about the issue until the floor rusted out in 10-20 years.
I looked at the manager 30, for me its more about space as well, its a big unit and I have no idea where I would put it. I saw a video from SEMA that they were working on something smaller. Fitting the 4 batteries, wiring, smart shunt, wiring and other connections in that space takes work.
I...
I have that switch in my trailer connected to Blue Sea M2 monitor and it can disconnect the load based on a number of criteria (voltage, SOC, current draw, etc.) I think its an overkill for my trailer and Blue Sea M2 does not do SOC for LiFePo4. I think I want to pull it out of the trailer and...
Badlands for sway bar disconnect, MGV, rubber floors (Its wet in the PNW) and ability to add Lux. I was close to ordering the Black diamond but I don't switch vehicles often so decided to go Badlands.
I think I am going to use the Blue Sea System combo breaker & switch instead or switch + fuse. I did this on my trailer and it has worked well. I asked Blue Sea about it when I did it and they were like yes, that's what the product is for...
I have not, waiting for a reply from American Adventure Labs on some details on installing their battery bracket, trying to minimize the number of times I have to take it apart. I will update next time I do.
I am working on installing the same setup, I have had a few issues that so far AAL has been responsive and helpful about, I am waiting for a reply on the latest issue and will prob give them a call today. The first bracket they sent out was too large and did not fit, they sent an updated bracket...
I would guess this happens to some degree, there has got to be places where the cold from the outside causes the warm/moist interior air to condensate. having said that this is the first time I have seen it. I would guess how much, if it can pool and if there is air circulation to dissipate it...
Thanks for the input! I will take a look and add some extra sealing material to see if that corrects the issue. @Theherofails Yes, definitely rainy in Seattle, we have snow on the ground right now as well.
I have been working on installing the American Adventure Labs Battery/Compressor bracket so I removed the cargo floor several times. Each time there is condensation under it on the right side, none on the left side. I have observed this 3 times, each time I wipe it up. It does not look like a...
I think the cats are right after the turbos on the V6 so they would be difficult to cut out, however tweakers sometimes cut out resonators thinking they are cats. I think a good set of skids will make them target someone else.
I have run Duratrac and KM3 on my Tacoma, both are great and I am sure the Ridge Grappler is too. New tires always feel great but comparing them to a set of old warn out tires isn't fair so who knows, I don't change out new tires...
Personally I like the KM3s
@ezapar sounds good, I have had it in the snow.twice but nothing too deep. Yep I still have your radio! @Cat snow wheeling typically doesn't get pinstripes as you need wider trails
Frontrunner will have a Bronco specific one when the production order comes in, that's the one I am waiting for. With my Tacoma and my off-road trailer I have front runner gear and I have been very happy with it, it seams like the gear from South Africa and Australia that makes it to the US is...
Before COVID I was in China 6-10 times a year for design and manufacturing, there are both great and terrible factories in China (The US for that manner too). This experience precludes me from sleeping well with a low cost device burning diesel below me and my family. I got the Espar S2, it has...
Nice! We did a bit of cold weather camping this last weekend as well. I removed the tow package and I'm still waiting for the tow module so I had to bring the trusty Tacoma to tow my trailer. I use a diesel air heater, they are a total game changer for cold weather.
