Don't think so unfortunately. I believe they are mounted to the body just like the Ford rails. The RTRs appear to have larger contact areas to disperse the load though.

The part that gets me is that if Ford just communicated that they were making my car better, I'd be quite willing to understand given it's a first model year. Dare I say might even be happy to wait a little longer. Not 13+ weeks longer, but a little longer.

I feel you guys on pricing. But I've been eyeing the RTR rails. I like how the rear bump out would double as a nice step for the kids. They just posted preliminary pricing at $1549. Subject to change at launch. And we all know nothing is getting cheaper these days...
