128k miles on Wrangler. Replaced windshield twice, but have used repair kits to fix chips several times. I would really have only needed one windshield repair, but used the 3M windshield kit, and user error extended the crack. doh.

If you eventually want the hard top, I would kick the towing package and leave the Hard Top. I think its too vague to really know the impact.
