That may be the case but shouldn't happen on a new vehicle. On mine they replaced the entire transmission and the noise is gone. From what I understand, if the vehicle is under a certain amount of miles that is the fix.

Thats the exact noise I had. They replaced my transmission. Was in the shop 6 weeks waiting for diagnosis and parts.

I wasn't really concerned about it. As long as I had something to drive. They did give me the Ford Limited Maintenance Plan which is close to $400 which Im fine with.

Sure...here you go. In the notes it says "noise goes away with pressure on 6th gear." Also says "clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, all ok."

Update: So far so good with my repairs. I'll be taking a longer trip this weekend with some off road time as well. Hopefully it will be fine. When I started it this morning there was no noise. If that changes i'll be back to let you know.

UPDATE: Well its been a crazy 6 weeks since I brought my truck in for the noise I was hearing. On Thursday last week my Ford rep called and said the transmission was in but there were a "couple parts" that would not be in till this week and April 1st. At that point I was resigned to just waiting...

UPDATE: Heard back from my Ford representative today( not my local dealer of course). So she said the transmission was delivered which is great news. Bad news there are (2) other parts that are needed that are part of the transmission that were not delivered. I couldn't take the call at work so...

UPDATE: Finally got an answer on my BB that’s been at the dealer since 2/3. They are replacing the transmission. They ordered it today. I will know an ETA tomorrow. Why it took so long to diagnose is beyond me, but at least I now know. I will continue to post updates as I get them. To everyone...
