I put a new Optima in. That's the only thing that was available at auto zone. All power came back on and the winch is working with the correct wiring. I'll take the original battery in and have it tested. Maybe I can use it on something else.

I've got a battery charger for my boat batteries than does AGM and has some sort of "repair" function. Worth a shot hooking that up? If the battery is damaged, I don't want to risk anything trying to recover it.

Yep - that's what I did. I fucked that up big time. Off to the auto parts store for a new battery....

Nothing. Just checked the voltage - it's down to 4 volts. So clearly I fucked something up.

So is the selenoid built into that switch?

All wiring from winch removed. I disconnected the battery for about ten minutes, then reconnected. Still no power to the vehicle.

Ok - I'm gonna have to go buy a volt meter. I'm at the lake house and can't find in here. The winch comes with a switch, which I mounted in the engine comp. + and a - wire from the winch to the switch. Then + and - wire from the switch to the battery terminals.

No luck there. Has to be some sort of fuse that I've blown. No power at all. No key fob, no nothing.

Bad day here. Tried to wire up my winch and when I turned on the power switch, I lost all power to the truck. I'm assuming I blew a fuse somewhere, but not sure where to look. Any assistance appreciated. Just want to get the power back up at this point.

Finally got the rear pig cover installed. Guys, I can't tell you how happy I am to see that $&@! on there! Thanks to everyone who took the time to share your knowledge and suggestions.

JCR aluminum front/engine plate with an aftermarket front bumper. Fits like a glove. I like that it's one piece and replaces two stock plastic skids on my Big Bend.

Y Yep! First mod I made was the Black Diamond grill. I did get the SAS package and I paid extra for the signature headlights. I knew I was going with aftermarket bumper, so BD didn't make sense to me. And the 12" info screen is standard on all models now. Huge win.

Funny! My sources tell me there is a prototype model Ford is testing in the desert in AZ code named - the Warthog. That is a true story!
