Yeah, the Roam/Pelican style boxes are not long enough to fit skis unfortunately (at least from what I've come across). Need to run something like a Yakima Skybox or a Thule or just a dedicated ski rack (which will have pretty extreme overhang on a half rack, albeit it can be done).
