Where'd you get 5% from?
I still think mine got pulled for QA based on my last phone call with Ford Marketing. Not sure how long that process takes, but I don't mind the idea of someone looking it over before it ships.
Oscar was saying earlier that someone in the 7/17 thread received a $2900 certificate when they spoke to Ford Marketing, so I just wanted to see if anyone else had luck with that. I haven't looked to far into how price protection works yet; I never received a DORA.
Just decided to give them a call. They said my Bronco is "produced" but not rolling over to "built" status yet. Could still be at body shop or pulled for QA. ETA is still 8/24.
I was even more impressed with the 2.7 by this video. This platform looks incredible strong and durable outside of the oil belt. I'm sure if this becomes a common failure point at higher mileages the aftermarket will develop a solution, especially with how widespread the engine is in the F150.
The dealer will not eat the cost of leather out of their own profit. The costs listed on your window sticker are also associated with a cost on an invoice that the dealer is paying. This is something to take up the chain with a Ford executive.
