Options 1 & 2 in your link should work fine, as long as the struts go back to the firewall side instead of foreword from the hood connection point they should be fine.

I appreciate that sound is subjective. I had the 06 Tacoma and the Bronco at the same time and listened to them back to back. In my opinion the Tacoma had better imaging and presence as well as the bass was cleaner, it sounded to me as if the amp in the Tacoma had more power.

It's not that bad, but it's not that good. My 06 TRD Off-road Tacoma had a better sound system.

Awesome, love the video recording. Trail rating are quite subjective, however the rating in my area are particularly inaccurate, Lonesome lake is rated as moderate, you can drive a Honda Civic up that trail in the summer.

I have this kit and like it, one thing to note is the placement does interfere with hood struts if you have those as well. It was easily solvable by remote mounting the filers for the compressor.
