You're certainly correct about the Halons and corrosion factor. The only reason I don't use halon, is because I want the crust factor that dry chemical puts down. Keeps the fire suppressed and helps prevent reignition. Basically covers where the fire was. I can say, I didn't care about corrosion...

I forgot about that post awhile back. Indeed I'd avoid the Element. Better off with something that's proven to work. I know when I had my fire, I would not be happy screwing around trying to use the Element. Sooner I can put it out, the less damage I'd have to repair later.

The vets are not wrong. Great advice indeed. I'll be checking into those items mentioned above. More good advice to take!

Thank you, glad you enjoy the videos! There's really nobody out there. I think I've run into maybe three people in two years. Two local ranchers and a BLM employee. Unless you are looking for abandoned history, there's no real reason to go where I go.

Yes, the fuel tank has been replaced. The tank was $1700 plus labor $2500 total. Tow bill was $750!
