There are two bolts under the dead pedal plastic foot rest! That plastic can be removed by working a trim tool behind it and then you'll see the two bolts!

Ah sorry there is a bit of confusion here, I was talking about the aftermarket AMP I installed, not the factory one! There would not need to be anything done to the factory system if you were just replacing the speakers!

It's definitely possible! I enjoy a decent amount of bass in my music, but it still sounded good with the sub not wired up. Also for my specific use case if I ever do need the extra cargo space the sub comes out really easily!

It's to the left of the cargo area right now, trying it on both sides to see if I can hear a difference in the low frequency response from the driver seat! Not a big fan of all the yellow on the box, but it's not something I have to look at often, and can always black it out with some fabric dye!

So one 4 channel amp for the front 4 speakers, then another 4 channel for the rear pods, and then the mono amp for the sub which I forgot to mention in the updated build! It's a 10" ported kicker that is nice and compact but still puts out a great low end performance, even with the top down!

Its very likely the aftermarket will come up with a "T Harness" eventually, companies like Metra have made ones that plug into the factory head units for years, but it will probably be a while before Bronco is added to their catalog.

@buzpro is definitely right, don't rush into it! I'm 8 hours into my project so far and have only the first amp and front 4 speakers done! Took my time planing out wire runs, carefully removing trim panels, good luck finding a replacement right now if you break off the clips. Thankfully...

Started the build last night! Was very easy to access the ACM and the harness that carries the factory amplified speaker wires. They are the 4 twisted pairs in the picture. Will update again with amp and speaker placement!
