  1. Thoughts on acorn damage / replacement hood

After physically taking it in, the feedback that I am getting is to just get a new hood. Quotes are pushing 1,000 and they are leery to do it, since its aluminum and never going to be perfect. Its more like 25 small dents. So guess I'll be going the ADV route. Seeing it on sale for $1,050. OEM...
  2. Thoughts on acorn damage / replacement hood

Ha. good memory. I am so happy we ultimately decided to take down that structure. It was almost useless and difficult to navigate to rehabbed or not. The single file wrap around driveway to a defunct structure took up most of the backyard. Removing it unlocked my entire backyard. Even if we kept...
  3. Thoughts on acorn damage / replacement hood

Verbal ballpark I’ve heard so far is “definitely over 500, but under 1,000”. Which in my mind is 800-900. Something having to do with dealing with aluminum being more expensive.
  4. Thoughts on acorn damage / replacement hood

I think my thought process at least for now is that if PDR is 1,000+ and the ADV hood is <750 to paint and install (2,000 total) then I might as well try some type of DIY method with or without a device to try to get these dents out myself. Since if I screw it up worse I could default to getting...
  5. Thoughts on acorn damage / replacement hood

I have about 15 dents across my hood from acorns falling from a high canopy above my driveway. The dents are only visible under the right angle and range from a dime to a quarter in size. Basically looks like light hail damage. I’ve never had this problem before with other vehicles in my...
  6. Lobo Off-road HNT Rear Bumper - Checks All The Boxes!

Seeing bumpers like that on an antimatter blue bronco brings tears to my eyes. Midnight blue Bronc, keep it classy, or at least civilized.
  7. ANTIMATTER BLUE Bronco Club

Finally took the rear clamshell off
  8. Help me decide... Eruption Green vs Velocity Blue

    Here’s the blue you want
  9. Help me decide... Eruption Green vs Velocity Blue

Eruption Green. Strictly my opinion, but I think Velocity Blue looks kinda cheap / rental-car blue because its a basic medium blue that lacks depth. Unfortunately, I dont think Ford is really offering any good blues right now on the bronco. Eruption Green I think is a bit flawed with the amount...
  10. Sasquatch vs not, for "soccer mom use"

One thing I've learned with car purchases for the wife - If she wants the sasquatch package, get her the sasquatch package. She'll also likely never get a flat tire or curb rash on the rims. It drives just fine, and the OBX comes standard with steps. My only forewarning is that make sure she...
  11. Just removed hard top for 20th time. Observations & tips

Is there a good technique to remove the 4 door clamshell solo? Never done it, but I was thinking one of the better methods would be to park near the grass, open up the glass, sit in the trunk and lift up the top a bit and pull it back a few inches to clear the pins, resting it back down on the...
  12. 2024 Bronco Build and Price Now Live

Do we have any additional info about the upgraded interior materials?
  13. Two AMBs

Very rare sighting. AMB 4 door OBX. Although still have yet to see another AMB OBX sasquatch in the flesh, or really any trim AMB sasquatch.
  14. đź’° [Updated 8/14] Official 2024 Bronco PRICES and Model Changes -- Colors, Trims, Equipment & More

OBX no price increase? Wildtrak keeps growing. 21 OBX owners not liking that. I paid a little more for my OBX loaded sas over an identically equipped Wildtrak, purely for interior/aesthetics. Sounds crazy but it’s true, the 2021 WT was like 300 less than a 2.7 OBX sas identically equipped….The...
  15. Weird issue with auto-windows

Any resolution here? I noticed this as well if all 4 windows are down and I attempt to auto roll them up at the same time (ie hitting auto up for one set then immediately auto up for the back set). Usually one or two windows stop midway like the vehicle can’t comprehend the task of auto up for...
  16. Father & Son: 1st day on the trails in my new Wildtrak w/ Hoss 3.0 + son's Badlands 🇺🇸 Photos

Nice. I have 35mm spacers on stock sas setup which put me to -5 on stock wheels. I was going to guess that you were running somewhere between -5 to -10. That range is the perfect amount of poke. Although I do want to eventually ditch the spacers and do it right with a negative offset rim. OP -...
  17. đź’° [Updated 8/14] Official 2024 Bronco PRICES and Model Changes -- Colors, Trims, Equipment & More

They just went ahead and axed the low take rate combinations. I get it, but will probably throw newcomers for a loop on the build and price. They basically said pick the trim that has the lowest take rate for the 2.3 auto, and the trim with the lowest take rate for 2 door Clearly that impacted...
  18. What sort of prices are people seeing for their used Broncos?

Not selling my grail build AMB roast OBX sas lux under 75k, maybe 80k. 6k miles. Truthfully, the buyer pool probably tops off below 60k. So willl likely never come to terms with selling for many many years, maybe ever until the car dies. Delusional or not, that’s where I stand. Where I’m pegging...
  19. Anyone holding out long term to be a future classic, or in the Bronco for the long haul?

I’ve thought about this as well. Basically at the point where gas cars make up like <10% of sales plus 15 years out from there when so few are on the road. The lack of gas stations is a valid long term concern, especially if you live in a rural area. Although I’d be much less concerned if you...
  20. Anyone holding out long term to be a future classic, or in the Bronco for the long haul?

Yeah I mean I’m not holding out keeping it forever for the sole purpose that one day it could be worth something. And the fact that I have low miles is not intentional. I think my spec will certainly age well and be desirable for a long period of time at least for me. But agreed the chances of...
