When it comes to MY22’s holding steady on this 12/13 build week, I think there’s definitely something to (a) Eruption Green, and (b) Day-One reservations.
Yeah maybe “sad” isn’t the right word for it. But it’s crazy to think that since 1996 we’ve gone from a 5.0L V8 doing 200hp to a 2.3L I4 doing 300hp. Really puts the 2.3L in perspective when the 2.7L people start ripping on it.
@Waiting for 4th Bronco interesting…no build date yet? If not, I’d guess that might be a function of (a) color (lots of eruption green 2-doors scheduled for 12/13), and maybe (b) my day-one reservation.
I agree that the 4-door is missing something, looks a bit Frankenstein’ed (feel even more that way about the 4-door Jeep, and don’t get me started on the Gladiator).
But Ford designers hit it out of the park with the 2-door. It’s almost a perfect update of the gorgeous original Bronco. And...
@friethmiller Maxwell (and Christine in particular, shout out also to Barnett) has made this process as painless as it could be under the rather awful circumstances (out of their control).
@broncodream I'm not 100% on this--might wanna do a search on a Wildtrak-specific forum on here-- but I'm pretty sure Wildtrak is now just carbonized grey MIC mirrors, door handles, top, and fender flares due to supply constraints. In other words, right now Ford is not painting-to-match...
@broncodream I wouldn’t expect to hear too much from Ford for a while if you did the order directly with a dealer (as opposed to converting online). If you don’t hear anything by the time the next build dates get released, might wanna hit up your dealer to see what’s up. Also, be sure to make a...
Also important to know who your dealer is, due to the whole dealer allocation fiasco. In my case, I had two day-one reservations, and converted one to an order for a 2-door Black Diamond with black-painted MOD top...obviously that ain't happening til at least 2023. After I went to the...
Here's a question for all my fellow EG order holders: what's a good name for a big green truck? Green Machine? The Hulk? The Mystery Machine? Those all seem a bit on the nose and what I woulda named it in high school (yes, I know naming your fun off-road ride is already juvenile enough as it...
