Iām in a Wildtrak with Lux but as best I can figure out from the parts guy at my dealer (Iād originally considered paying for the replacement until I spent some time here and realized this was not an isolated thing) thereās only two PNs in the system, and one is a replacement of the other.
If they ship the wrong product, and wonāt cover return shipping, ask for that in writing or ask them for permission to record the call. If they give you neither, ask for their supervisor. You can and should absolutely dispute the charges on your card. I have the Costco Visa and an Amex. Iāve...
My dealer replaced it but made all sorts of noises that it was thru user abuse and Ford would not cover. The replacement, less than a month old, is cracked too. When i called today, dealer said āthereās resistance to replacing these under warranty.ā I wonder what it takes to get a TSB issued?
A month later, and the replacement has developed a crack. My service writer prefaced his response with āthereās resistance to replacing these under warranty.ā In 35 years of owning cars, Iāve never cracked a cover like this, never mind two. I love this truck but the warranty shenanigans make me...
I ordered the same from Walmart, and expect to get the Fullruns early next week. I figure, maybe theyāre coming from different DCs and Iāll get lucky (hey, you miss 100% of the shots you donāt take, right?). As a super long shot, low-chance hedge,, i went to Discount Tireās website and submitted...
My ex and kids live on Mercer Island. Iām in Bellevue currently, 405/i90 interchange, just off of Richards. Itās incredibly boring but very convenient to get to them. I have a few more years before theyāre both gone to university, at which point I will find somewhere other than āupper Factoriaā...
I am. We are a city of drivers that cannot deal with any inclement weather. My first real job was snow crew at an airport in Ontario, so Iāve got healthy respect for the white stuff in all its forms (wet, whiteout, ice top, ice under, etc.). Iām bummed that deal was too good to be true but not...
Iāve had Nokian tires twice now and swear by them. Was introduced to them on my company car in, where else, Finland, when I worked for Nokia (the company that once made phones). I later put them on my STI and wifeās CX-9. Studded or studless, theyāre great. They turned that already formidable...
After disingenuously suggesting the crack in the horn pad was from user abuse and telling me Iād have to pay for a replacement cover out of pocket, I showed them several posts on 6G, and my service writer called back a few days later to say that the sales department had agreed to pay for the...
You have no idea how angry and aggressive Seattle drivers are. I use my horn at least once a quarter. Sometimes even once every six weeks. Crazy how tightly wound people are on the roads here š
Indeed. It was the dozens of mentions elsewhere that helped me get my dealer to reconsider their initial assessment. That said, theyāre still not convinced that Ford will warranty it. Hopefully mine will be warrantied and that provides evidence/support for others getting push back at their dealers.
Even if itās not a recall, itās conceivable that 1) Ford accepts it as a product defect and when it occurs, repairs under warranty. And 2) Redesigns the part to address the underlying issue
when I was considering buying the replacement cover myself, there were already 2 versions of this part...
Mods, feel free to move this thread if Iāve spawned it in the wrong place. I couldnāt find a warranty subtopic.
I scanned the forum a few days ago looking to see if others were experiencing a cracking problem on their horn/airbag covers. I have a crack in mine and when i went to get it fixed at...
Man, the supply chain for this stuff stinks. Itās 2 months later and this is unavailable. Sure, there are alternatives but this 50 pack was a good deal.
