I'm a 3.21.22 build week person but like to snoop around the forums ... This means that the rail car is in a position to be unloaded. Once you are unloaded you'll get a RMPY status which means Ramp Yes. Then it just sits and waits for a hauler to grab it and take it to your dealer. Once it...
T-Minus 1 day till my Delivery ETA window starts. I keep checking palsapp expecting an early surprise but it says pending. At least I know it's sitting in the yard lot.
Wish I could get a baby pic, but I never made a reservation. Love seeing all the pics though!!
Okay so the code is RMPY. RMP= Ramp and Y= Yes. I got a ramp # from Ford. What is the significance of this number? I assume Truckers use this to know what vehicle to load up.
Total newb question I know :)
Had to call NS Customer Service because the automated status line was inaudible. It talks so freaking fast. I think it said RMTY or RNTY??? The Bronco has been unloaded and they said the dealership should be calling me soon!!!! Ohhhhh Emmmmmm Geeeeeeee!!!!
Oh goodness, another new status update :ROFLMAO: Now it says "actual placement of car @ 339pm" Some quick google-fu and that update means "When a car is placed in an accessible position for loading or unloading or at a point designated by Consignor or Consignee".
Good to know it's in a good...
Well I just called and it said my rail car departed Jax about 1 hour ago. I guess they unloaded it and it goes back out to get used again. Who the heck knows. Hahaha.
Norfolk Southern has a status line you can call with your rail car number. Warning, calling can have some side effects that include increased anxiety, impatience, and sleeplessness as you keep up with your bronco's journey. LOL. NS is 800-497-2919, option 2.
Mine has been in a “Notification Ground Only” status since yesterday morning. Does that mean it hasn’t been taken off the car? Yesterday it went from AVPL “Available for placement” to the ground only. Wish there was a glossary of all these terms. I know I haven’t hit my ETA windows yet but...
OH HAPPY DAY!!!!! Rail car has finally arrived at the Jax auto distribution facility where it will get parked and wait for convoy to dealer. I may drive by later today to see if I can catch a peek.
Oh and I received my "Your Bronco has shipped" email from Ford this morning. Only 9 days late...
Im trying to be patient. LOL. I'll be driving down to the Tampa/Riverview area first week of May for work. I wonder if I can talk my wife into letting me drive it down. HAHAHA. I mean, it has to get broken in right?
Found a cool site https://www.railserve.com/railcams .. Check and see if there is a cam on your rail route. I found one for Cordele, GA and my train goes right through this town. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a glimps of my girl.
Making progress. Left Forest Park GA this morning at 0300 and started its 330+ mile journey home! Now my dealership is telling me they are seeing convoy delays up to 3 weeks for rail > dealer transport. Anyone know a good therapist?
Route map from Norfolk Southern website.
I know I probably will :ROFLMAO: My dealership just told me it's been taking them 3 weeks to get a convoy to bring them cars from the yard. Shortage of drivers here in Jacksonville.
