I've seen some 2021 reservations getting build dates so it's appearing that the "place in line" system has become somewhat obsolete. Likely due to the nature of fully custom builds that could have just one part that's delayed and pushes you back 100 spots.

Bang 100%. It's tailored/wired specifically for the vehicle whereas the soundbar likely just connects to your phone (and SYNC maybe?) via Bluetooth.
