No worries - thanks for the reply, I may be planning a road trip to the US at some point and I'll ship it there if I do. Let me know if things change and you do start shipping - I don't mind paying the customs when it arrives, but I know these things are heavy!
Ooh, I've got a 2.3 2dr badlands (non-squatch) - but this idea sounds great (I'm wanting to put on a winch and maybe a rooftop tent or bike rack), so some extra support would be great. Any idea if the 2.7 4dr badlands (non-squatch) would work?
I may go try, but after not getting all the Ford pass points I was promised either, I doubt it'll work. I emailed my dealership just after taking posession about getting tube doors and a 3rd roof rack connector (and applying the $500 towards this) and.... nothing back. I do need to schedule a...
I get the worry, but these bike racks are great (and less damaging than the North Shore Racks) and even with the e-bike it seems fine so far. I'm pretty sure I put waay more load on the bike and rims when I'm out on a ride. My rack is a Shuttlerack, but VelociRAX also makes one (and probably a...
I tested mine out for a week and it wasn't bad - I'll probably upgrade the OEM roofrack at some point, but for just myself this seemed to work. Tent overhangs slightly with the 2DR but overall it worked just fine.
Here's my 5-bike Shuttlerack mounted on my 2-door. It's heavy - solid and works well (without as much wear as a North Shore rack). It can fold down so that I can open the tailgate. This won't work for everyone (as it certainly gets in the way, and blocks most of the rearview camera) but for me...
Great pics so far! The Sasquatch package really isn't worth it up here in Canada if you get a Badlands, so I'll use the money (once Tire prices come back to earth a bit) to get some summer mud terrains at some point in the future.
Had some fun wheeling around in the snow today, made it pretty far up the logging cut block, but eventually couldn't make it any further. The stock KO2's did pretty well
Mine too! Just picked it up yesterday, it's so cool. Tires look bigger in person than they do in photos, but I'll still upgrade to 35s in the spring and keep these for winter tires.
Finally picked mine up from Van Isle Ford in Port Alberni, and they honoured my MSRP reservation price and it was a really easy process to pick it up and get on the road (once it finally arrived there). Recommend for sure.
