I called FMC customer service line for the first time Friday. I was terribly disappointed. I reached a clueless lady who told me my bronco had been shipped and was getting its "IC Chips Scanned to make sure they are all okay". I asked several times, in every way I could think of, to get more...
In two days it'll have been 666 days since I reserved my bronco. I've been through every stage of grief (several times) and am currently sitting in the circle of apathy. Although my Bronco was "built" in January, and "shipped" in February, here we are in May and still without my glorious...
:-) you're probably right- I'd be okay if Ford partially compensated me with jellybeans for the wait. Our luck though, Ford would probably send us all a huge bag of Harry Potter Jellybeans...
So could I - sadly, Ford's too big to fail and too big to feel the pain from a couple weeks of disgruntled fans. As long as their main production line keeps rolling, we're but a blip in the dataset; and not even the most recent dataset at this point. So the relevancy of our "issue" is even less...
If this happens, a whole lot of us will go ape $#it. I can't even imagine the social media hell that will rain down on Ford if they deliver Raptors before day-1 reservation holders.
Congrats!! One more victory for our build week :-) I'm gunna go Celebrate on your behalf in Savannah. Pay no mind to the fact it's St Patty's Day- that's just a coincidence... I will have many drinks in honor of your new Bronco.
Gotta wonder how warranty would work if the vehicle isn't actually "complete" until all the modules are installed. Would the systems controlled by the missing module be covered for 3yr/36k after the controlling module is finally installed or will the warranty expire based on the original...
Not weird at all. Your fear is very real and warranted. My wife and I were shopping for a little 2 Door convertible when we found that the local Audi dealer had an Audi TT. Turns out the owners wife was driving it around town and it wouldn't be back in the dealership for a few more weeks...
It has nothing to do with smarts and everything to do with the economics of production. The assembly line is streamlined and optimized for production, so Ford is going to continue to run that at full speed. Chips/modules will definitely go there first because that's where the install is easiest...
Nice! I hope you get it soon! Mine has shown Shipped since the end of Jan; even back when we had EDD on the tracker, it was showing shipped when EDD moved from mid-Feb to May 20th. Hopefully your shipping status is different than mine and is actually shipping and not Ford giving you false hope...
I'm sure this will have no affect on any of our builds...

I also reserved a Ford Lightning. Can you belive the Dealer called and asked me to convert my Lightning reservation to an order? I'm a day 1 res holder on the Bronco, waiting over 18-months since launch, over 1-year since Ford started handing them out to influences and YouTube junkies, and I'm...
Ya, I totally feel for you man. I had a 12/13 build week and was thinking that too... it's honestly worth discussing with your dealer about a market adjustment for a reduction in MSRP - long shot, I know, but worth asking the question. Maybe get another 300 or 500 in aftermarket parts. It sucks...
Yeah, I'm with you man. I'm not sure it's worth the risk or the wait. I had a 12/13 build date, pushed a few times and an actual built date of 1/21. EDD 5/20 waiting on chips. Dealer is giving me $1k towards aftermarket or purchase price from that early res thank you Ford promotion for early res...
