Thank you for the reply! Iāve updated my original post to give more detail, i should have been more specific. This shit is nothing like PPF. PPF is 10mm (edit: 10mil) thick, these graphics might be less than a mm. Incredibly thin and brittle, almost acting like 20 year old thin stickers.
Thank you! It was quite a long wait and Iām glad itās over.
I guess I should have been more specific in the first post. Theyāve absolutely used a heat gun, theyāre a professional wrap business with wholesale accounts with Porsche, Land Rover etc. they specialize in Xpel and have been certified...
Itās at a professional shop. He just had me come by to see how hard it was to remove. You canāt see where they were, heās already removed a bunch of it.
You must not be familiar with Xpel. My wrap guy has a truck thatās parked outside everyday and looks flawless still. Not brittle either.
edit: 11 year old wrap
We definitely tried using a heat gun and it almost made it worse. Seems to come off best just at room temperature. Weāre using Teflon blades but it still slightly mars the clear coat. Using fingernails and steady pulling has gotten us this far. I was hoping someone has specifically removed these...
Has anyone taken the reflective graphics off of an FE? Do you have any tips? Warm or cold, the graphics just disintegrate if you try to peel them off. Think license plate tabs, thatās basically the same material these are made of and do not want to come off.
please, if you have removed some...
I value both and have an FE. Everything so far is perfect. Literally no issues with any of the complaints or failures you read about. Not everything is as cut and dry as you claim. People come here to report issues or to complain, rarely do they check in to say everything is simply great.
@colbert
I didnāt see one until I went to a fund run in CDA. When I picked mine up a couple months later, my wife noticed our neighbor 2 streets down also has an FE.
The first time I saw one in person was the day I bought my FE. The first time I drove one was AFTER i finalized the paperwork and drove home. I didnāt need to test drive before buying, I knew I had to have it either way.
ITāS HERE!!! You can mark me delivered on 12/1. After all this time fantasizing about the bronco, it was still so much better in person. This thing is fucking amazing!
