That would be helpful sir! If you could answer the ultimate question of whether the new MIC matches the flares and handles entirely or is still a different plastic and shade, that would be helpful my man.
I'm 99% sure these are both Cactus (you can see the same Black Diamond taken from the side in another picture. The factory lights whitewash everything.
FINALLY a 4 door cactus with the soft top, my exact build. Confirms that I made the right choice; had been wondering if the extra $$ to upgrade to Badlands for aesthetics would be worth it.
I have seen Cactus Gray on sports in the dealership lots, can confirm it has more of a green hint to it...
I don't think it was Lead Foot. That one looks very close to Jeep's sting-gray which is darker. This was a very light gray, closer to Toyota's cement color.
Didn’t have time to grab any pictures, but I did see what looked to be a Ford F-150 (recent year, unsure if it’s the all new one) in cactus gray or a similar Ford color. I see that the ranger is available in cactus gray now, but can’t see it on the F-150. Any idea what color I may have seen?
Yeah will definitely be making the bet that this will be possible to handle after delivery I'm impatient, so I'm willing to pay up later to ensure I get my bronco this summer vs. waiting for the late availability tops. I also don't really think I want a painted gloss black top; would rather have...
Thanks, I just needed confirmation from some other eyes and ears. Soft top for my BD Cactus Gray it is! Then will wait for aftermarket or dealer purchased black MIC hard top. Hopefully the wait is months, not years. Need the hard top and rack for ski season!
So do we think the fender flares, bumper, and BD grille are all the same color (black), but different from the MIC hard top, which is carb gray? I just can't tell from various pictures. If they are different, I don't understand why they didn't see the lack of continuity as an issue.
I couldn’t find this specifically posted in any other threads, so here goes.
I acknowledge that the molded in color hard tops have a gray shade to them, but is the MIC hard top the same material and color as the black molded in color Black Diamond Grill, the fender flares, and other accents?
I'll add to the pot of people wondering about tire swaps. I've always understood that the speedometer can create issues when swapping tire sizes. Anyone with a degree it Tirology have any idea if the BD will be able to handle an upgrade to 285mm 33's?
Been going back and forth like a volleyball between Badlands vs. Black Diamond (cactus gray). I really like the throwback nature of the steelies and the savings to be had on the BD, but also love the stance of the 33's, so if I were to go with the badlands, I'd probably trade down to aftermarket...
4 DR. Had a 2 DR Wrangler JK for 3 years (bought the 2 door because I wanted Sahara but couldnt afford 4 door Sahara) and regretted every moment of it. 2 DR always has the great retro look to it, but the lack of practicality, minimal storage space, and the complaints from people riding in the...
Any auto industry experts out there know how long the time lapse will be between “production start” and delivery to dealerships? I. E. Based on this breakdown, when will the first broncos be finished and on the road?
Very very helpful, thanks for putting it in layman's terms. So, if I want to ensure the lowest price for my vehicle, I should find (and switch to) a dealer that has indicated they will charge invoice pricing for the Bronco>? I don't believe my current selected dealer has communicated anything...
Can someone please explain the concept of "Invoice Pricing" and how that may apply to my order? Or if it's only for certain circumstances, what is the criteria to get "Invoice Pricing."
I've only purchased used cars in the past, so any help here would be appreciated!
Thank you! Yeah, I just think they could have and should have done so much more with CG! It looks amazing in the promo pictures with doctored lighting, like a dusty-green gray. In most pictures it looks like an odd seafoam/dirty dish water, and just way too close to white in many pictures as well.
Thanks for all this insight! In what way was it better than expected? Figuring this one out continues to be tough, don't know whether it's teal, blue-gray, robin's egg, etc.
Also, any first-hand takes on the Cactus Gray (on the can) would be appreciated as well!
