First, the “specialist” tried to tell me that there was a $465 acquisition fee Ford charges for the vehicle (yes, if your leasing, I’m not ) regardless of purchase or lease. Then the dealership is charging a $899 doc fee that is not negotiable (ridiculous and greedy) and then they said I had to...
Mine went in today and Ford email confirmation just now. 2 door base in velocity blue with the 2.7tt. Original reservation 7/14/20 moved to Mullinax Ford from Sarasota Ford because they are greedy jackasses.
So skip the Bimini top accessory and recycle (because who wants the useless, side windows don’t pop out, mic top) and put the money towards the folding top. Sounds right? I wish Ford just made the soft top the standard for two doors ( or made mic side windows pop out ). I’m in Florida so soft...
So that soft top 2 door shown at the factory not too long ago... who makes it? I would love it if this was the standard top for two doors. Any chance of that? Better yet, any videos or pictures of it being folded? Does it ( please, please, please) do the safari thing Jeep’s do? My base mic top...
So 2 door and 2.7 On a base, how far back do you think that will put me? Do you think I should step up to a big bend to get the modular top if the other two are pushing my build so far back? What is the bigger delay the 2 door body or the 2.7?
Florida native here too; why are you wearing socks? Jk. I plan to go Bimini most of the year too. I’m thinking I’ll put 303 on the canvas for extra waterproofness. I expect drizzle to kick in from the sides and back though. Maybe the better question is what neoprene seat covers to put on? Also...
I originally wanted a BB 2 door because I wanted the mod top. Since that has become a debacle, I have stepped down to a base but am getting the 2.7 and a bikini top. I like the steelies. None of the options really matter to me. I live in Florida so I am mainly a beach crawler anyway and don’t...
Any bets that Toyota finally makes a new 4Runner and delivers them before the Bronco actually shows up? ?
Maybe Toyota gets wise and makes it with a removable top and doors. I’m just rolling with the punches at this point.
Can I run the Bimini under the hard top and have the back section on with the canvas over the front section? I want to run doors off most of the time. Like the idea of sun protection and hope someone (come on Ford, concession for the mod top delay)pops out the side windows easy.
But it is all SEC so... there is still some tradition in that. A tip of the hat to rebellion within the confines. We all have a rich history and tradition that truly is above the rest.
As my sister (also a Gator) somehow managed to marry a Dawg ( she is my least favorite sibling), I thank you for sharing your information. May our rivalry continue to be legendary. Mullinax in Apopka is on my radar. I hope you get the deal you want on the Bronco that you desire.
I reserved on day two of the reveal and being in Manatee County I picked Sarasota Ford. I didn’t know much about them but they are very vague and or non responsive at answering any questions about ordering and sales. I need to probably switch dealers before it is too late. Any recommendations...
Oooh I like that slider idea! Maybe one for the center of the rear window too (like a pickup) would be a perfect idea. I’d probably never bother to take off the rear cab then unless there was prolonged good weather. Hurry up aftermarket (or Ford) and take my money.
Hello everyone. Long time lurker first time post. So watching all the back and forth disappointment about the modular top vs. the mic top has me thinking about my build. I reserved on the second day it opened up and went after a 2 door big bend bend because I wanted the pop out windows of the...
