what is a joke ford likes issuing recalls but never has a fix. I been waiting close to a year for the fix for the valve recall that was supposed to be released by the end of march 2025. Now mine is also flagged for the shocks and rear camera.
toyota was replacing engines in there pickups when...
hoping for engine replacement for everyone. Toyota just had similar engine issue with there pickup, think it was around 100,000 trucks. Toyota going to replace the engines. Question now does Ford have the guts to do the same for our Bronco. I dont trust my engine at all. Even if ford tests it...
looks like new engine/warranty extension for me. my engine number 21207, and I have low miles on the vehicle. From the old thread here that puts my engine right near the high end of the build date serial numbers of engines that blew. Betting on if they replace the engine it will be at the...
there wifi update process is a joke. It took a month for my vehicle to finally update with the last patch. My wifi signal is excellent in the garage. They should allow the old process of allowing us to download the updates to usb and flash the updates that way. its way faster flashing the...
Here in the Detroit area, if I remember right, if they pick your vehicle off the line at the plant to test drive it, they would put a sticker on the window next to the big window sticker. It would say they test drove your vehicle and say how many miles.
Thats exactly what I was thinking, they would pick an engine plant. Picking MAP makes no sense. Ford has many storage lots still filled with 1/2 built Bronco's now. All thats been coming out of the plant is a trickle of Bronco's that are completely built..
i talked with ford performance today, he said since the calibration is 50 state legal now for 2021-2023 models ford may finally add it to the ford accessories web site so you can buy it there. I called my local ford dealer, he claimed close to $1000 to buy it. what a joke. sounds like best plan...
I'm wondering if it was the coolant hose. Remember some people had problem with the coolant hose to close to the fan belt. Cutting the hose after enough rubbing. You drove for a while, hose could have finally cut through with anti-freeze squirting onto a hot engine. instant bonfire
I paid the dealer to install mine, but I didnt paint them. I bought the black ones from ford. To many horror stories of people stripping the bolts trying to get them out or put them back in. I figure if the bolts break its the dealers problem to replace them.
I've had several new vehicles that if I got 12,000 miles on a set I was lucky. Like someone already said here the OEM's put the cheapest tires on a vehicle as possible.
mine came close a month back, it pushed a OTA update, and the screen was black when I turned the vehicle on. I cycled the ignition a few times, still black screen. I did a hard reset (power button and right seek) and that seemed to fix it. That resets the SYNC module.
What I dont get why is ford hardcoding the tune to your vehicle. Only reason is so it cant be flashed on another vehicle. There just making it harder to sell and put on customer vehicles. Issue a generic tune (vehicle calibration) and give it to the dealer to flash using there regular tool...
I have two ways,
1) put left foot on running board, grab dash handle with left hand, grab b-pillar with right hand and pull myself in
2) put left foot on running board and just grab steering wheel
getting out I just usually slide out
Ford been doing this for a while. The fordauthority.com web site says they dropped the garage door opener on the Expedition XL, they added a drop option for the secureicode keypad on the Explorer. Little by little options getting deleted across all Ford vehicles. Moral of the story, if you want...
Sounds like the rumors are true "all terrain nation" on you tube said the parts shortages are true. Sounds like Ford going to start to play tough with orders and options. They said MIC, LUX, and Sas package are in short supply. They said the sasquatch tires are the issue, goodyear cant make...
The one fleet site I found says nothing on last build date for 2023 model. https://www.bblfleet.com/fleetdocs/ford_buildout.pdf.
The way Ford has been short parts and all the recalls. I believe the rumors of no retail orders for 23 MY. But what good is that going to do. Just get get more...
All I can figure is they put a nonfunctional amp in to save the time/cost of modifying the wiring harness in the vehicle. Just put the empty case in there to make the wiring connections complete again.
this is why I cant wait till the OEM's cut dealers out and sell vehicles direct off the internet. Sick of all the games the dealers play. Its either they low ball your trade in, or try to force you to buy extra parts and warranty. Or now the famous covid penalty ADM fee.
