I also have the BougeRV with their battery that fits into the top slot in the fridge. Had it for 1.5yrs and many off and on-road trips. It works very well overall.
Sometimes the cigarette plug cable from the battery to the fridge comes unplugged in rough terrain. The fridge beeps when this...
I don’t think it’s fair to trash the install process. I did it and I’m just a guy with a small garage and a few tools. The only challenging part was the final step: fitting the bracket onto the the tailgate. But that still only took a few minutes.
without question my favorite mod and I still...
That’s me on the 33s! Thanks for organizing the trip @popo_patty. And for the spotting, which is how I got through it all. Was fun! No damage. Just scrapes on the skids, rails and front bumper. The transmission skid definitely got some use pivoting on rocks.
Love my JTops Bimini and hard top. Zippers to access handles. Doesn’t flap at all in the wind. No sun leaks around the edges. It’s extremely well made. I have a custom printed one. Looks awesome
Trail ratings are tricky. Like @popo_patty said, sometimes trails are rated a 6 specifically for one obstacle, and the rest of it is basically fire road. And sometimes it’s a sustained set of obstacles, for the same rating, which is an entirely different level of commitment.
And then I went...

If it’s close to the price point I’m buying one. Just a bit more expensive than a 1988 Toyota Pickup (you know how pricey those things are now in good shape???). It’s the same size as one of those old trucks. Same bed size as a modern way-to-big pickup. So amusing. Perfect for hauling mulch for...
I’ve replaced the driver side seatbelt twice. And the passenger side twice. I assume this is because of dust buildup in the tensioner mechanism from off-roading. It’s a drag but still under warranty.
My kids complain the rear seatbelts randomly come undone. Not sure if they don’t put it on...
@popo_patty love the wiring. Actually made sense to me from the pics as that’s how the Turn Offroad license plate holder is routed through the OEM tailgate grommet. And the SPV harness to power my rear bumper lights is also routed similarly with a pigtail from the driver side rear taillight. And...
I love the functionality and the look. Install looks like a pain for me though. I’m not looking forward to removing the AAL tailgate cover where the compressor mounts inside the tailgate void. That was a pain to maneuver into place. Probably worth it for the complete reverse/brake/chase...
