What the hell Ford? Why you make it soooo hard to give you my money?
And just called a 3rd dealership. "No idea what the fee will be, they haven't told us anything". "There will probably be a link on our web page or maybe our Facebook."
0 for 3 so far :(
But seriously, how could any serious Ford dealership not be focused on this impending launch after years of build up? This is supposed to be large sales volume (and presumable large profit) vehicle for a company that really needs to hit a home run with this launch. Simply can't comprehend why...
Just called two local dealers.
First said the link would be on their own site at 7pm (central) and the deposit would be $500.
Second dealer said, the link will be on Ford.com TOMORROW and NOT the dealer's website. Didn't give any indication of what the deposit would be.

The Ford marketing operation is a complete joke. I love my F-150, own Ford stock and REALLY want a new Bronco but the company just continues to embarrass itself.
Understand all that. Just saying, I've signed up for updates with Ford multiple times, yet they don't provide any. Their marketing effort on this whole thing just seems to be...lacking.
The Ford site you linked to is not a dealers only site and has a big blue button that says "Get Updates". My point, I click that button, enter my information and nothing ever happens.
I don't think many, certainly few of us on here, would call this "a good move". This is just developing into a clusterF for Ford. I say this as an owner of both an F-150 and Ford stock!
Ford just better not pull an Explorer with this one. If these things don't roll off the line just about bullet proof and extremely impressive that will likely be disastrous. Perhaps (and I sincerely hope) all the delays have allowed them to truly learn the disaster of their last "icon brand"...
For as many years as this thing has been hyped, and promised, it better really knock the socks of buyers (and not just us enthusiasts) or Ford will get torn apart. I'm not rooting for that at all, but that is certainly a risk they run.
The networks covering the protests and riots were never going to be covering a vehicle launch anyway. The audience is the automotive media and enthusiast sites which most certainly would be watching. The Bronco launch was never going to be on the NBC Nightly News. If Ford is waiting for that...
