I cancelled my 7/20 reservations today and purchased a 4Runner TRD Pro instead. I did stop at Ford dealer first and walk through my build. They wanted another $900 down to process the order and he was very clear that since I had Sasquatch package it wouldn’t be until “some time in 2022” that I...
Cool..I ultimately opted for the 4Runner. TRD Pro Lunar Rock is scheduled for 3/15 build and I should have it mid-April. After meeting with the Ford dealership and hearing all the uncertainty but a definitive “no Sasquatch until next year” I figured I’ll wait on a Bronco. If I love the...
Appreciate the insight and that is the intent. I have no desire to hit extremely difficult rock crawling but do intend to do fun mud and moderate trails.
I wasn’t commenting on engine quality, just the additional mechanical components and electronics of the entire package. The “simple” Toyota has what would seem to be less that can go wrong.
I debated that option but I really want something to take out and about this year. Minivan is dated and if I buy outright I still have the option to change it later. Yes, I’ll lose a bit on trade but not too much considering both should hold their value well.
This is where I am leaning as I head out to dealerships now. I can always trade in the 4Runner in a year or two and know I have decent value in it. Either way I am buying outright. Kids range from 6yr old twins to 27yr old (and 2yr old grand daughter). 6 kids and 2 dogs. It’ll mostly be my...
Which way are you leaning? No roof rack on squatch and less towing are a question mark for me as well. After speaking with my wife last night she’s got me going the less reasonable/more fun Bronco route.
I did drive the 4Runner and it was great. Bear in mind, I"m driving a 2012 Grand Caravan while my wife has a 2020 Telluride. Night and Day. That said, we do a lot with 6 kids and 3 dogs so won't knock the minivan. But now it's time to go camping and fishing, and off road..
This is my issue in a nutshell. I'm paying cash either way. So, when Toyoto does a revamp of the 4Runner, or if Ford proves reliable, do win/lost when I purchase tomorrow? And yes, Ford delivery is an issue BUT I am driving a 2012 Dodge Caravan while I bought my wife a new telluride (excellent...
Tomorrow I finalize either my Bronco order or my 2021 Lunar Gray TRD Pro purchase (being built now w/delivery end of April). I've spent way too much time learning all the off-roading/overlanding lifestyle in the last year. To be quite honest, I am torn. A few thousand less for TRD PRO vs. my...
2021 Ford Bronco Badlands
Rock Rails $595 ???
So, this one always interested me. Why would Rock Rails be an option on a Badlands when Ford website indicates they come standard on it? - If they are standard, take that $600 and put it toward the $1,800 for the 2.7 upgrade.
That's the build I...
Thanks for that reply. With the added towing capability I may have to seriously consider the Ranger. Once I see specs on cabin space it'll help me figure that out. The 4Runner is now in the running too as a local dealer is willing to give me an incredible deal on a new TRD even with me paying...
I thought the same. The one letdown that is fairly common with many these days. The problem I have is that $50-60k should bring a bit more quality to this aspect. Again, challenges my decision considering my wife's Telluride was just $42k and is loaded with luxury. I realize, hardcore...
