Honestly, I donāt think it made much, if any difference. I took it out last night and it sounded about the same to me today.
I really donāt feel like I have wind noise coming in at the front edge or the targa, so much as just overall āwind on the vertical windshieldā.
to be followed next week by: "All tops were delivered to a holding facility in Texas on Monday. Unfortunately, they were all stolen during the eclipse".
I could see batch 1 slipping to January ā25.
Oc course you then have to factor in delays for Christmas, Thanksgiving, March Madness, The Eclipse, Flag Dayā¦
I havenāt found an elegant way to do it yet. Iāve tried with my wife and I on each end, having her pass it over to me, at which point I balance it as I step down. And Iāve tried with one of us inside, lifting it as the other moves it off. Neither is particularly graceful.
Iām looking forward to...
After washing with my pressure washer this morning I found no water leaking inside.
However, while drying, I found a drip onto the driver side window from the front corner of the targa. ( Note: this was NOT there before I added the pipe insulation, so no fault of TOR).
I pressed down on that...
This afternoon I shoved a length of 1/2ā pipe insulation between the two gaskets along the front of the Bronco roofline.
You can see there is definite contact there now.
it was a tight squeeze and I had to loosen the latches in front a couple of turns to get it latched. Only got up to around 55...
Just checked mine (as I have a loud rattle coming from the back somewhere)
thereās virtually no play in mine. Struts seem secure and barely move.
( for the record, I donāt think my rattle is from the hardtop)
Mine's not a rattle, but more of an almost "thump" when going over bumps. All my bolts are tight, so if it's anything to do with the top, it would have to be the back glass (but I don't think it is).
I thought one of the rear seats was maybe loose, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Maybe the...
Had a thought this morning- Those who are hearing wind noise from the front: was your Bronco part of the windshield recall? And if so, have you had the windshield resealed/replaced?
Iāve noticed a couple of rattles (especially over large bumps) that I didnāt really hear before. They donāt seem to be the TOR top though, I just think they were masked by the noisy soft top before.
