NM guess I was wrong...it left Edwards, CA about 30 minutes ago. Bakersfield should be the next stopping point, then Fresno, and then from there on out I think it's on to Richmond without any more stops in between.
Car's now sitting at Barstow since this morning. Based on other people's timelines, I'm thinking it'll be here a couple days before starting to make its way up the state.
For folks who are OCD like me and are constantly checking the location of their railcar, you can do it without having to speak or punch in any numbers. Just paste the following into your phone (with your railcar initials and railcar number of course)...
After spending the last 5 days in <unintelligible> New Mexico (thanks Mr. Automated Voice Guy), the railcar is finally on the move. Left Defiance, NM this morning, so I'm optimistic that it will arrive at the beginning of May.
Huzzah I finally have a rail car number. Car was in Clovis NM as of the 16th. Guess it’s going down to Socal first before coming up to Norcal.
On a related note, I found this neat trick from the Mavericks folks to bypass the voice automated system and just use the keypad...

Looks good! I did a set of winter wheels for another car in Brass Monkey, and it's held up pretty well. Debating whether I want to do another set of Brass Monkey or do the Bronze Gold. Did you do these with the wheels still mounted or did you take it off?
