Those graphs do not address what I mentioned in my comments(engine internals/transmission/fuel eco)... I personally have several printouts like this over the years... probably buried in a storage container. I'll start off with this... the vehicle(s) above appear to be tuned for 93 octane, where...
... getting those type of gains(if actual)at an expense to what? Engine internals? Transmission? Fuel economy/efficiency? Most modern normally aspirated vehicles will not see gains like that, at all... not much left on the table by the manufacturer's engineers. Forced-induced vehicles may, but...
I'm not sure, but how many vehicles does TFL have in their stable that are 5Star-tuned? Do they have or had any that they held onto for an extended period of time?
I do not have an issue with modifying your own vehicles, but we have to be cautious with making statements without concrete...
It appears to me that some, including the OP, didn't do their homework... struggling with their own wants versus the direction this vehicle was clearly going for. This direction was explained by the people involved with bringing this vehicle to fruition. For the individuals who are not feeling...
I figured that the winch solution obstructed a lot of the front camera view and probably blocked some of the front parking sensors if so equipped, but was not sure about the ACC... I guess we got our answers.
I always thought that relocating the front camera was not much of a possibility...
That's EXACTLY why I went back to the OEM antenna on my truck... that and the aftermarket stubby antenna's finish wore off. Some parking garages pose a threat to my roof!
The funny thing is that my truck was the first vehicle I owned that had a front facing(and 360) camera. I use it much more than I thought I would, especially in parking and passing double parked vehicle situations. I could care less if the front camera is partially obstructed by a winch or...
From the looks of it, this bumper will also obstruct the front camera view. The question is how much. Not only will that bull bar obstruct the camera view from left to right, the bumper itself most likely will obstruct the camera view... that's not even including an installed winch. This bumper...
I don't think it's a bad looking option, but it appears it would still be in the way of some optional features... front camera, adaptive cruise control, etc. No sensor provisions or view of an installed winch to see if it blocks anything else, such as intercooler air flow.
Due to the fact that they are mostly electronics and algorithms is why they are not an upgradable path via an entity like Ford Performance... it's a turnkey system with several sensors, wiring, control unit, and other connections throughout... not to mention the tuning.
Ford Performance offers...
I gotcha... the title said, "Fox Live Valve...," it's the tech utilized on the '19-'20 Raptor and optional on certain UTV's. They are electronically/algorithmically controlled. Fox, amongst others, will most likely have a few alternatives to swap out the stockers if you so choose.
I'm not sure what you are implying here, but I do not see how Fox's Live Valve technology would be utilized on existing platforms that were not engineered by the manufacturer to take advantage of this tech in-house...
I can see manufacturers like Fox introducing replacement shocks, but they...
The 4WP winch solution appears that it would COMPLETELY block the front camera, where as Ford's OEM solution partially obstructs the front view... the Bronco that 4WP did their build on did not have a front camera, anyway.
Right now, it is too early to tell for most to decide for or against a mounted winch. So far, we have seen Ford's prototype solutions and 4WP's effort. From the limited sample size and the way my engineering mindset tends to think, I do not see an easy workaround for winch mounting that will not...
I'll jump on the FP diff cover early this time because I waited to get one for my '18 Raptor and they were back-ordered for quite a bit. I already have the standard recovery kit... easy to acquire those plate frames if I want. The catalog will grow...
Baja Designs... although Ford Performance/Rigid kits look to be ready out the gate, I am most likely going to wait for what BD has in store. I have the BD kit located in the "fog light" openings in the front bumper of my Raptor and they are sweet! ... the kit was not even the brightest BD...
