People get pretty worked up about oil change intervals. It's one of those things where we're all invested in our own decisions and bias. I have to admit, I thought I knew a lot more than I really did (or a bunch of people on the internet) apparently, it was costly but not a Ford engine...
yup, had this with the update. go into Apps, Waze, storage, clear cache AND data. you'll need to log back in but all your settings should still be there. Took all of 2 mins, all the glitches are addressed now. Resizing and routes now work without the UI going away until restart.
While filtering through people who feel the need to be heard that they never have a scenario where this affects them, I'm following for the actual info to address the issue (for me).
A litany of bugs and issues were cleared up for me when I cleared the cache and data from Waze, Maps and YT music. Took a few seconds to log back into the google account for each app, nearly all the weirdness went away. Still have the 'For you' panel not refreshing, but meh, everything...
I got 3.5.2 yesterday, 3.5.3 today.... But AA remains at 8.5.624594 and it renders Waze unusable for me. Once a route is set, you lose all the UI when any page is swapped or resized. The map and route will continue, just cant interact with it. Bummer. I guess be careful what you wish...
Ahhh, ok.. I see, this is the only place I start the car, move to D as the line is starting to move forward and don't take my foot off the brake after the truck starts. Normally I only have my foot on the brake long enough to allow it to start. I mean, doesn't explain the software freakout...
It's not just a problem of too fast for conditions, you can create a hazard in traffic by needing to slow greatly because you just lost most of your visibility. I'm not the guy that blasts into severe weather going 20 over... But I also dont want to be the guy that gets rearended because I...
Whoa... I had a really sketchy experience in my '22 Luxe OBX at highway speeds, drove into a insane downpour (like a microburst) that caught everybody by surprise.. traffic started slowing, but gradually as to not cause an accident. My wipers were doing great on high, then all of a sudden...
The highway speed thing is because you're also breaking in every bearing in your drivetrain, you're just trying to avoid excessive, prolonged heat. I know people have a lot of opinions about oil, intervals, and all that. I basically follow the manual unless somebody shows me Blackstone...
I was sitting in the Bronco again today for 20+ mins. I opened the door quickly after shutoff so instead of waiting for time out. After about 5 mins I heard the brake lock. Then at 10 mins, I heard another mechanical sound. So, I knew I was about to get blasted with error messages...
+1 on the Dongar harness. I have one in the Bronco, but I've had them in my two Infiniti's for a very long time, they work great.
However, the mirror harness as it is will only be accessory power. There may be battery power spot on that harness, I havent checked on the Ford version. On...
In my case today, I had been sitting in line for 30 seconds, ign off, but accessory had yet to time out. I wanted to make a call, but not over the hands free. I just got this vehicle, I dont know how to override the accessory time out, so I just popped my door open for a second and closed...
I also sit in the pick up lane at school every day, up to 20 mins, same scenario. I was just about to google why the parking brake is setting itself. I did have one incident where I got a single warning, and couldnt make the brake disengage. Holding up that line feels like that same...
New OB with 900 miles. I have a new squeak that I initially thought was a belt when turning off the engine. However, I just noticed that turning on the accessory power, without ignition, also makes the squeak. Seems to occur when warm and has been on or off for more than a few mins...
sorry, haven't read all 9 pages, but I don't think pool noodles would prevent the bend. I think doubled up 1/2" 2'x2' square EVA exercise mats would absorb more energy. Walmart often sells the 24sq ft pack for $25. They aren't bulky to store away either.
