  1. Ford Abandons Bronco Scout Trademark

Could always just pull a page from Ferrari's book... Bronco TheBronco LOL
  2. Dream World, if it were up to you what exactly would the new Bronco be?

This is a really good point, and something I didn't really think of. I REALLY hope Ford doesn't force me to get the base Ecoboost 4 or N/A V6 just to have the manual. I'll be pissed if I can't get a TTV6 or V8 with a manual
  3. Patent shows possible toolless removable doors for 2021 Bronco

I hope this isn't dismissive of Ford's "2-piece door" idea that has the structural bars that the door slides off of to keep in place if desired when the door skin is removed
  4. Will Bronco be the Jeep Killer

All information given by Ford has pointed to a Mustang-inspired name (as in using a historic Mustang nameplate) and having both a Mustang logo and tri-bar taillights. I think Ford is going to want to make it clear that this abomination is part of the Mustang "brand"
  5. 1994 4-Door Bronco

I know the feeling... I currently have my Mustang, a Focus, a ZX2, a 240SX, and will be getting the bronco, plus the wife also plans to get the "baby Bronco"... I'm getting to the point that I'm pretty much out of space for vehicles, so after the new Bronco and BB, I'm gonna have to either start...
  6. Will Bronco be the Jeep Killer

Maybe not before, but right now we're currently awaiting an electric Mustang CUV and potentially a Mustang 4 door sedan... so yeah, a Bronco "brand" falls right into that ideology
  7. 4 door Bronco

I would love a 2 door if I wasn't expecting a kid in the coming years, but since I plan to be, it'll be a 4 door for me. But I definitely hope they debut (and continue to make) a 2 door alongside the 4 door
  8. Dream World, if it were up to you what exactly would the new Bronco be?

Dream world, you say? Get ready, my dream world usually doesn't sit too well with most of the Bronco nuts on here F150-based, both in proportions and styling 4 doors with a 2 door option either a 5.0 or a 2.7... would also consider the 3.0 diesel 6000lb+ towing capacity MANUAL TRANSMISSION IS A...
  9. Full-Size or Mid-size for the New Bronco?

Just buy a Ranger and put a camper shell on it. Boom theres 90% of a MSB Yeah, not a huge fan of that answer, are ya?
  10. Towing capacity??

I didn't think so, but wasn't going to harp on some he-said-she-said. I'd rather just give him the benefit of the doubt and get my point across
  11. Towing capacity??

Exactly. If I wanted a pickup, I'd buy a pickup. I don't understand why that's so difficult to understand. But really, Ford may SAY that the Bronco is going to be a direct jeep competitor, but we know it's going to be wider, will likely be longer, and ultimately will not be as off-road capable...
  12. Full-Size or Mid-size for the New Bronco?

Except, isn’t the former EXACTLY what they’re doing? Taking a ranger and enclosing it to roll out as a bronco... You midsize diehards crack me up. Midnight is spot on that you guys telling us to “get an expedition” or “put a cab on an F150” is EXACTLY the same thing as if we were to tell you...
  13. Full-size Bronco not happening-Ford Authority

Also makes me think perhaps the 4 door will stretch to around FSB length... now if only I could get the width to go with it!
  14. Report: Bronco Pickup Scheduled For Production in July 2024

It's a bit late for April Fool's jokes, Ford!
  15. Full-size Bronco not happening-Ford Authority

One big thing that sticks out to me in the shadow is the cowl bump on the hood... that wasn't on any iteration of the first gen bronco. Also, the dip right in front of the windshield... that tells me that there's a cowl area to tuck away some windshield wipers. That's more of a modern integration
  16. Full-size Bronco not happening-Ford Authority

Spare tire: Yes, it does appear fairly narrow... however, you have to remember that the current Ranger only uses a 255 tire... who knows, maybe the Bronco will use an even narrower tire Gap between fender and bumper: Early Broncos did not have that, at least not in the way depicted by the...
  17. Towing capacity??

Lol it happens! If only we could go back to the days of expecting trucks to only weigh 3500lbs... hell, modern performance cars have trouble meeting that weight!
  18. Towing capacity??

Not sure what makes you think the Bronco will weigh any less than 4000lbs considering the lightest variant of the Ranger weighs that much Regardless, ever heard of Toyota 4 runner? Weighs around 4000lbs, shorter wheelbase than a 4 door wrangler, and still has a 5000lb tow rating
  19. Full-size Bronco not happening-Ford Authority

I mean, I'm all for a FSB offering, but it's ridiculous to say that nobody wants a midsize... People who want to do more tight quarters offroading are going to be more attracted to the midsize, whereas people who want something to pull stumps, haul trailers, and carry the whole crew would be...
  20. Full-size Bronco not happening-Ford Authority

If I could get it with removable top/doors, taller ride height, and a bit more squared-off profile, then sure! Don't forsee Ford ever offering that on anything but the Bronco, though I'm not dead set on IFS or live-axle... My current daily is more uncomfortable than just about any car I've ever...
