I used to be a roadrunner (drove for dealer swaps) for a Ford dealership. I would get sent hundreds of miles to another state to pick up a car that another dealer within 25 miles had sitting on the lot. Yeah dealers are extremely competitive.

I think the "technical" term is the "prompt volume". The only way that I know of (and you have to be fast) is adjusting the volume while the navigation system is speaking. Seems weird to me but it the only way I've found so far.

First priority - Mud Flaps. Get good ones. My preference is for Weathertech. Great fit and great look. You won't have to look to far to find comments about how the Goodyear tires notoriously pick up stones and ding up the sides.
