    My previous pickup truck had Xpel on it in various spots and it was 8 years old when I traded it in. The Xpel was still in stellar shape. No issues whatsoever. Granted I am OCD about my vehicles and it is garaged stored so not sitting out in the winter or in the blazing hot summer.

    I have the Xpel PPF on the front of my hood, the leading edge of the front fenders, the windshield surround, rockers and the lower part of the sides/doors up to the indented seam on the doors. It works great and has fared very well so far.

    That logic is honestly right out of the Twilight Zone. If I hadn't heard this from several sources I wouldn't think it was possible that Ford would actually try to sell that swill.

    Ya the extended warranty does not cover this. It is just the standard 3 year. The why of it is pretty obvious considering the high failure rates.

    The assembly video EZ4x4 put out a year ago has the reel side mounted so they must have changed the design for some reason since then.

    Ya I don't like it being on the back like that. I need that space also in my garage. Is it not kind of awkward working the lift from that angle regarding the crank?
