The Plymouth Webasto factory also makes the entire C8 Corvette folding hardtop convertible mechanism and so far they have been mostly problem free and with no reports of parts shortage or production issues. So maybe MIC issues are related to a design issue/late production change, supply issues...

On the list for a C8 HTC, so I'm familiar with the waiting game.... :)

I think the hard part is if you want the Lux package you have only three trim levels to get it. Also, I don't have any real need for the Sasquatch package. So that leaves OBX and BL as choices. I go back and forth on the painted fenders, but figure I can easily change them to the black ones...
