    I hear that's standard practice to verify one's ID, also to make sure someone is not a list, part of the Patriot Act. I could be wrong.

    I could understand them not wanting to write down OTD costs. No one knows how long it would take Ford to build the truck, and MSRP could increase, and re-ordering, etc imo, having the dealer sign a buyers order that states selling price will be MSRP is sufficient.

    Depending on the state law. In CA, I think dealers have to refund deposits if you back out more than 48 hours of vehicle arrival at dealership.

    If i remember correctly, a pre-approval from your bank/CU is good for 30 days.

    I stopped by my local dealer to place my order this past week. I counted 15 on lot. They asked 20k over. Ordering is MSRP with signed buyers order.
