I wanted to head out on a little road trip this weekend. Crossbar Ranch, Barnwell, Hidden Falls, etc. Maybe we can get a Bronco convoy going this weekend.
Oh, sweet geebus, those look so good. Gosh, I’m so torn between the two finishes! Has the black powder coat been holding up well with those using the Stirrups? I read a few folks were seeing their powder coat coming off already. Has this been addressed? And the million dollar question, when will...
Yeah, I took mine in for its first oil change yesterday. They ran the Bronco by the guys that deal with the engine and components to show them the "click". They said some Broncos make louder noises than others with the turbo and BPV, but the noise was normal. I'm still not 100% sold on it, but...
If the bolt is freely spinning, you'll need to either put an Allen key into the bottom of the bolt (I used a Torx bolt, maybe a T40, and a self-ratcheting wrench) to hold it while you use the wrench OR get a set of pliers to grab the larger metal ring just on the other side of the sway bar from...
I've been itching to get back out there for another wheeling trip. Is anyone up for Cross Bar Ranch or Barnwell this weekend/next weekend? I'm also up for other ideas as I am unfamiliar with alternatives close to the DFW area.
I ran my 4DR 2.3 7MT non-SAS w/ 5700 miles through Carvana just now for poops and giggles too. Paid invoice of just over $40k.

Ideally, you'd want to match the takeoffs to your build (2d/4d, 2.3/2.7, AT/MT, tow/no tow). However, I installed a set of 2d non-SAS BL takeoffs on my 4d BD. They worked just fine. But, I wanted a bit more lift, so I scored a set of SAS takeoffs from a 4d 2.7. After everything settled from the...
So I went back out to do some more diagnosing on the issue. I unplugged the electrical cable from the BPV and the clicking immediately went away. Upon plugging the cable back into the BPV, the clicking immediately returned.
@patchymanz if you have the original still installed. Try unplugging...
That sounds very frustrating. I had a buddy go outside to rev his 2.3 MT and he does not have the clicking noise after letting off the throttle. So, something is afoot here. Do you have a part # for the new part they ordered by chance?
Any update on this issue? I've noticed mine now makes quite a loud click or popping noise when letting off the throttle, just like yours. I called the dealership to get them to take a look at it, and they told me they are 4 MONTHS out from being able to look at it. Hoping to hear if you found...
The Zone off-road kit requires you to disassemble the strut to add spacers and washers. The RC kit doesn't have you disassemble anything. Instead, you place the spacer pucks on top with a bit of trimming of one of the top studs. This was why I went with the RC kit over Zone off-road.
The UCAs...
I threw on the RC 2.5in lift kit last weekend. In their instruction guide, they left out the step for putting on some bushing spacers for their upper control arms. So, I left those off and drove for a day or two. The UCAs were popping and shifting in place. I ended up throwing my factory arms...
I bought this bad boy after failing to remove a few bolts with my older Ryobi impact:
DEWALT DCF911P2 20V MAX* 1/2 in. Cordless Impact Wrench with Hog Ring Anvil Kit - - Amazon.com
It even removed the rear lower shock bolt with ease, too. However, as others stated, you can't go wrong with...
