  1. Last Call: Manual vs. Auto.. Why? (HELP!!)

I guess it comes down to technique and conditions. In the few times I've gotten stuck with an auto, I've had to R/D/R/D... it out. With a manual, I've been able to clutch/gas/clutch/gas... out most of the time without having to shift gears. Either way, with the GOAT modes, I expect that...
  2. Hey, Photoshop wizards.....

No need to thank me... Unfortunately I didn't know which pizza cutter you wanted, OXO, KitchenAid, ... but I thought this style had a nice look. ;)
  3. Last Call: Manual vs. Auto.. Why? (HELP!!)

I'm sorry this has happened to you. In 30+ years of driving, there were exactly two days while I was on crutches for a left ankle injury that I couldn't drive a manual transmission. Fortunately for me, my vehicle had enough clearance that I could clutch with the arch and heel of my foot, so I...
  4. So, if I don't convert my reservations, what should I get?

Well you're in luck! Looks like the Fiat-Peugeot merger cleared it's last hurdle, so Jeep would soon be a Stellantis product. Combining the best of Italian & French engineering and design! Yeah, you're right... Jeep is out.
  5. Last Call: Manual vs. Auto.. Why? (HELP!!)

I would expect with right GOAT mode, either transmission in the Bronco will handle very well. Driving in snow is an experience where I prefer manual, for the ability to control RPM relative to ground conditions.
  6. Ford finally got me....

GenXer here... I've only owned one automatic transmission for myself, and that was enough. My wife only drives auto, so I can experience that driving thrill just about anytime I want. That's usually only when she's parked behind me in the driveway. For me... manual only. I would have...
  7. Roof Rails with Crossbars - yes or no?

Same here. But since I'm planning on a 2-door, I'm hoping for a aftermarket solution that uses the front fender tie downs to provide an extended rack over the front end. ...For those times I need to haul 12' board or an extension ladder. I've already suggested this a few times here, but here...
  8. Last Call: Manual vs. Auto.. Why? (HELP!!)

I agree. Very bummed that manual was 2.3L only... then I realized, the 2.3L has significantly more horsepower and torque than my '08 Ranger with a 4.0L V6, and I've been very happy with it. If I decide still need more, the are plenty of improvement options available. Sadly, I think I will miss...
  9. Bronco Badlands Sasquatch 2-Door SEMA Concept – First Live Pics! [Updated With Specs / Mods List]

Okay... my favorite part is the Bronco silhouette, kicking the rear wheel, I had on my cheesy Free Wheelin' concept earlier this year. For that matter, is the "Soundbar" graphic in orange the modern interpretation of the Sundowner graphic?
  10. Pic - Oxford White 2 Door Badlands Sasquatch

Definitely planning on 2 door, but I still need to haul long items on occasion. It's not uncommon for me to pass 10' or longer items through the sliding rear window of my truck. I've done the Hazzard Fraught folding utility trailer in the past, and hope I don't need to go that route again...
  11. APPLES (BRONCO) VS ORANGES (WRANGLER)

I'll second any other positive comments about the Bronco and add... Not a Fiat! (...or Stellantis)
  12. The Last Person to Post in this Thread Wins (AKA Random Thoughts Thread)

And you probably won't for a while.
  13. Ford trademarks WARTHOG name!

I agree! ...and in a Warthog, it should also offer Jake braking with a resounding BRRRT!
  14. Ford should make a mini Godzilla engine

I believe it would be Godzuki...
  15. Is FCA getting nervous? Publishes Bronco vs Jeep Wrangler Info Sheet Guide

Side effects of Stellantis may include death wobble, leaking roof panels, electrical problems and Pentastar performance anxiety. Stop taking Stellantis if you uncontrollably wave at other Jeeps, climb parking lot barricades, and think the "Jeep Thing" stickers are still clever. Four out of...
  16. 2021 Bronco Crash Tests and Safety Ratings

Unfortunately the Jeep seems inherently vulnerable in the small overlap testing. Looking at the tapered front end, the crumple zones never really get a chance to absorb much energy of the impact. Instead they glance off the corner of the wall, leaving the easily detached fenders and front...
  17. Pineapple Pizza Bronco6G Sticker!

There is demand for it!!! I don't want to live in a world where new Bronco's are deprived of Bronco6g Pineapple Pizza stickers.
  18. Pineapple ? Pizza ? Explained (Pineapple 101)

A little is fine... Just don't let it get out of hand...
