Thanks. One final thought. Beadlocks are not DOT approved. You may want to look at Method Bead Grip wheels as another option or Icon has something similar and in both zero and close to +30 offset. @Discount Tire here can take good care of you too with your needs.

Hopefully these pics help you visually. Re your concerns. Crash bars out and I have no issues. While these are pics from my work parking lot, I spent a lot o time driving on the beach and off-road sand trails this summer with zero issues. I will say with the 2.7 I did not feel any concerns...

5/27 order date # 7483. Really looking forward to getting these on the Bronco. I know it has been a while but I am happy to wait. I saw one on a Bronco in person recently and they look great.

When researching, it seems like turning up the 4" without the blockers led to some distortion for others but some also said no problems. Sounds like which speakers you decide to use will be part of the equation along with how loud you like to run your stereo.

If you look earlier in the thread, @dubseed spells out the specs. It was really the 2nd line that was the biggest difference.

I think the pods really are a game changer. Apparently Metra is going to be releasing some too but I did not want to wait.

No amps yet. IMO the 6.5 pods and forscan was the most notable improvement. We did the install in stages and there is no question that the 6.5 pods with forscan made the biggest improvement. If you are not willing to do the forscan, skip the pods andI would just do the dash and leave it alone.

Yes used stock wiring for kicks, SSV supplied wiring and just added the bass blockers to the front as the factory speakers have built in blockers. As discussed earlier, it is bright-I have just compensated with turning the treble way down.

Without forscan you are getting a limited bandwidth signal. The stock 4 inch can’t handle full range. I would highly encourage you to at least try out the changes in forscan. It was beyond night and day for me.

@Dubsesd can help. Believe it was changes to two lines of code...took him less than 3 mins and he also eliminated auto stop/start

They are the Audison 4" coaxial speakers from the Prima line. As I mentioned they are bright or at least they are a lot brighter than stock. I have my treble WAAAY down now. Might be because I dont need the bass blockers. This is the only thing I am likely to try and change. I know others...

Rear pods were the best part of what I did. I was concerned about visibility and going to bigger pods. I dont think visibility changed at all. Can't speak about the other 6.5s by Mabett etc but the SSV do not block visibility any more than the stock 4s.

SSV pods unloaded were 229, speakers were 575 for all 6, wires and mounting rings for kick panels were @45.

Thanks for your note. While I am really comfortable with electronics soldering and have worked on guitars etc the plastic clips and my RTR grill install left me a bit gun shy to do this myself. There is def an art and research to understand how to remove/pop the clips of all of the factory...
