I work for a dealer that owns a ford store. After taking it to my local ford store and them denying me anything, itās now at my companyās ford store if that makes sense. So Iām waiting to see what/if anything they can do for me before I go that route.
This is just my thoughts but yes youāre right to ask that. I think of my 4Runner for example. It came on 30ās and it was the dream to run 35ās. I think it was every 4Runner ownerās dream to run 35ās. Now the majority are on 35ās and I even follow some accounts on 37ās. Axles never an issue. The...
All I can say is JBM Off Road did my install and looked over the truck on two different occasions and everything checked out. All my suspension parts are RPG who also looked over the truck twice before Iāve taken it out. So I have no idea

Iāve had a few other people say the same and it just doesnāt make sense why this happened. Hereās some trail photos. Nothing a Prius couldnāt handle.
Iām on the fence with what I want to do. Assuming warranty doesnāt cover it, what kind of options are available so Iām not doing this all over again in a few months? I wasnāt even driving the truck hard. I was hard on my 4Runner and never had a single problem with it and it was supercharged.
I am revising this post to clarify Ford is replacing the axle under warranty. The axle tube and plug weld issue is a warranty gray area and can go either way.
