Agreed. I like the looks, it has more clearance and it saves a little money. Since the 2 door only seats 4, my six year old would have to stay home alone. As much as I tried, I couldn't convince my wife this was a good idea.

I don't think that rumor is accurate. My reservation is for a 4 door BD with manual transmission.

If the the back seat vents are limited to floor only, how do you prevent water/dirt/mud from getting trapped in there during an interior wash-out? Why are the rear vents not located in the back of the console?

Excellent question. The obvious answer would be to place the vents on the rear of the middle console. I'm hoping Mike Levine's comment is inaccurate.

I'm with you on that... but according to Mike Levine, rear air vents are under the seats. This just doesn't fit what anyone is looking for. Here's a pic of what it could look like... Why even suggest wash out capability with drain plugs when there's an obvious water/dirt/mud containment trap?

AC Vents in the back, not Air conditioned seats. I'm having a hard time justifying Ford's decision on this, especially when I'm willing to shell out 50+K.
